As a Sichuanese, Sichuan cuisine is characterized by "a hundred dishes with a hundred flavors, one dish with one style". The variety of flavors comes from the ingredients (thanks to Sichuan's rich terrain) and the spices, such as郫县豆瓣酱,中坝酱油,保宁醋.... Another characteristic of Szechuan cuisine is that it excels at turning the bad into the good and making it loved by normal people.
