沒錯,用這種弦演湊[彝族舞曲]絶對好聴,這弦是尼龍弦或絲弦,主弦不是金属物料,是用尼龍或其它物料,而外包用尼龍或金属包纏(The main string is not made of metal, but is made of nylon or other materials, and the outer string is wrapped with nylon or metal.)

The performance is exquisite (his tremolos are really fast--and I think he may only be using four of his five fingers to do these), and the audio quality is excellent.

I wonder if he was using nylon rather than silk strings for this recording. Alan Yip (Mr. Lui's student) just told me: "Definitely it is silk. Nylon will be less substance and very bright."

I bet it's nylon string, cause Hong Kong performers mostly use nylon strings in the old days either pipa or guqin. Moreover, I think the pitch of the open strings are too clean and dull for a silk string. Off topic: I've heard a rumor that all the top quality silk in the 60's were collected for producing grenade, and this highly encourage people to develop metal string for traditional instruments as they don't have any new silk strings to use.
