在中国沿海城市英语水平其实普遍还可以的，我前两年回国在麦当劳正好遇到一群初中生在学习，借了他们的英语卷子看了一下所需的词汇量已经算很高了，并且他们那个学校我知道是属于比较普通甚至可以说差一点的公立学校，我们那也不是一线城市。可想而知如果真的有在读的话至少听读写的能力不会差的，至于口语那就得靠多用多说了。

整件事都很怪⋯⋯如果是真的，那這孩子和家長都是極端或驚人的自律！ $願意花一年學費35萬人民幣，還留在國內很奇怪。 $語言環境很重要，學校、家裡、平時聚會都要說而且還要有對象陪練，不然很難達到流暢。 $14歲而且是新生，代表兩位小學就有這種程度跟現在的學校沒關係。

上海美國學校不需要外國護照？正常來說美國學校都是要外護的，我比較傾向他們是anchor baby，再帶回中國養大；我認識特地為此來美國生的中國父母有提過回去程序，包含只能在國際學校就讀

太驚訝了！因為在台灣的國際學校（有冠上國名的，比方說美國學校、日僑、韓僑、歐洲學校、外僑學校）有這些名字的一定要外國護照，且還要排隊依照父母的國籍當優先順序才給進；其他不需要護照的通常為雙語學校，再去分國際班之類的，能冠上國名就是很明確要提出外護。但也不是沒解法，有的父母會去買小島國家護照，所以我才猜想這些學校一堆人搶進，肯定有一定門檻，不可能只是家裡有錢就能搞定。台灣美國學校差不多25萬rmb一年，上海美國學校學費要到35萬，只能說一山還有一山高！
