Always interesting to me how traditional japanese craftsmen tend to work very close to the floor and use their feet in ways that you don't see elsewhere in traditional crafts.

I believe the harvest of snake skins comes from other places either in country or out but, as you can tell in this custom crafting of instruments every piece is used and absolutely nothing is wasted. It produces such a unique and distinct sound. Beautiful video, awesome editing, love learning from them. 🙂

What a beautiful process to watch! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is astounding! I recently visited Japan for the first time and am already planning to visit many more times! Such a beautiful country with so much to explore. I would love to visit one of these workshops!
