Always amazing to watch these crafts process coming from just raw materials to astonishing tools, it all seems too perfect to be "just" hand made. Really hope this kind of craftmanship never disappears. Congrats!

As Im also making some things from wood I felt in love in this channel in last two years. I always find inspiration to see Japanese craftsmen do their job with respect, faith and such politeness. They just put usually white kimono and do their the best work to each detail because the greatest joy of each craftsman is that his work will last for generations to come. Thank you for sharing with us this piece of artwork.

Japanese craftmens, especially the old (experienced) ones got vibe that I believe its from them dedicating their whole life in that one skill

How cool is that! And I've an extra dimension of cool... I've been to Sanjo!!! My host father owns a hand-crafted Paulownia wood furniture factory in neighbouring Kamo, Niigata. His carpenters/craftsman may have used these tools?!

I just hope that you are passing your knowledge and experience to the younger generation. It will be a tragedy if everything that you know is lost to the sands of time.
