Shacarri can have had a better start if she go with the short nails, she will be able to plant and take off faster,notice Julien had her nails short. For the Olympics everyone is fast and every second counts you have ten seconds to get it right, it’s the shortest race with the smallest window.
@qthequick

How long Will shacarri start be this bad?? If she doesn’t hurry and fix it this girl Julien will dominate her for the foreseeable future. She’s giving up too much track to be able to walk her down having the superior top end speed. 10.72 is a great time. You’re not beating a 10.72 with a bad start and Julien will only get faster being younger than all the top 5 sprinters in the world

The right person won ,she was confident throughput the rounds. The American was don't make a false start and get a medal ,which was the right attitude she was nervous at the start and build up . to the final .but she never took it for granted of winning a gold . she coaches did a good job .minimum was a to get a medal. Because you never no how you will be in 4 years time .,or get to another Olympic games .with the USA ,way of selection.

Slow starts will create obstacles in every race. You need to be in the top two getting off those blocks. She is fast enough to make up most small gaps, but being the last or next the last person off the block will make her lose a lot of races. She still my girl and she will learn from this, hopefully she will get the right coaching to help her get past whatever is causing her to hesitate at takeoff
