I used to watch this when I was like 12 and I remember swooning when Chico got to sing. He didn't take lead that often but when he did he made it worth waiting for.

I love how he starts to crack up sometimes, but gets it back together... In nearly every song. I just love how they have so much fun.

Check out their version of Youngblood . They almost break up all through the song. It's great.

Chico did this to perfection :o)

Tonithenightowl......Not really. I think the intro was especially weak and the blown lyric at 0:39 didn't help, either. Other than that it was just OK, IMHO. 11-9

You know I've heard it said that Pamela Myers loved all the boys, but I really think that she was most taken by Chico. Who could blame her????!!!!!
@donnyyork21494 жыл бұрын
No very big deal, but I'm here noticing this and taking the opportunity to assert that Pam was a pal to most of us but never flirtatious to any of us in Sha Na Na. Propriety wasn't just for the girls of the 1950s!
@Cheerfultoday10 ай бұрын
@@donnyyork2149Thanks for this info, Donny. During this binge watching of Sha Na Na videos (going on two months now), I’ve noticed that in a couple of sketches Pam showed on camera what appeared to be a tiny bit more affection towards Chico than she generally displayed towards everyone else. To me it looked like friendship, and no more than that, and Chico was almost always smiling anyway, so there wasn’t anything visible to interpret. As always, Sha Na Na is again a great pleasure to watch and enjoy. Thanks for your wonderful and important contributions to them, Jerry Fox…from Cleveland!
@donnyyork214910 ай бұрын
@@Cheerfultoday , just for the record, there was no special affection between Pam and Chico off camera. She was such a gifted actress, possibly she just reflected his smily choices, and that's what we are witnessing. (While working with her, we weren't admiring her skill to the point where commenting about it occurred among us. It's watching her NOW that draws comment about how stunningly gifted she was with the comedic nuances on camera!)
@Cheerfultoday10 ай бұрын
Yes, Pam was wonderfully expressive, and always acted her many different parts in such an effortless way, as actors should, whether she was speaking, singing or dancing. We viewers had the good fortune to witness that but, speaking for myself, I had the good fortune to enjoy and love all of you Sha Na Na “gennelmens,” and the lovely ladies in the cast. Thanks for you insight, Donny.
