Sucks he got injured. Give him some time to mature and I think he'll be a really good piece.

***** where did you hear that? There haven't been any rumors about him being on the trade block

I feel like on another team he could average around 14-20 if a team needed him to. He said in an interview he scores and is more agressive when a team needs him to be (which I've seen him do) hes originally a scorer but when you're on a team like the heat with several other offensive options he just tries to drop dimes (which is still good). Hes smart and mature and i personally think he could be a more contributing factor to some other team.

Bendjo Kahmaur I've noticed. And I agree, I feel like all this time on the bench isn't good for him. He barely got any exposure to the game yet as a pro. Plus, I thought he was going to end up being the starter until dragic came along. He was killin it in the Pre-Season. This is no way to treat a 2 time champion. Hes ready to do damage.

Yeah i could def see him averaging 17-22...minutes

plays just like steve nash with his rhythm, flow , and his indirect approach to the rim followed by smart shooting and ridiculous vision

Smooth step-back. Great court vision. He plays like CP3 but as of now he's faster than him. I think he should be the backup PG in front of Chalmers. Cause Chalmers just loves to have turnovers and have many fouls. I hope spoelstra realizes that.

He said plays like him not he is cp3

I agree. He has skills but CP3 like, is getting a bit carried away.. CP3 is an elite player. Shabazz got sent back to D League several times

I really like his game. He reminds me of Mark Jackson. Just a smooth pure point guard with speed, quickness, moves and fluidity. If he can stay healthy and improve his outside jumper he can be a full-fledged starting point guard in the league for 8-10 years.
@freestylerandmc1019 жыл бұрын
At 23 as a rookie, I see when he slows down the game and takes what the defense gives him, he plays like a veteran and scores and passes efficiently. As with any rookie he can take it to the hole, but I think once he learns to be a floor general like Paul, he won't even have to drive the lane to score. He has a lot of potential. I hope he's working on that mid range and defense as well as bulking up. Learning from Dragic will be good for him now, but as others pointed out his game is very similar to Paul, and I hope he's watching a lot of Clippers film.

I've always admired this kids game since his days at Uconn, but I don't believe he is in the league anymore, but it doesn't really matter anyway, because he made his money anyways.

Some naysayers keep saying that Napier won't be able to progress in the NBA cause his too small, look isiah thomas, he's about 4 to 5 inches taller than him, except that Napier is smaller and turned the ball over too damn much, that's the only problem i have with him, but other than that, he's gone be fine next year in my opinion, #goheat

Gerwich Saint-Hilaire I don't know how the fuck you can compare Isiah Thomas, one of the 50 greatest players of ALL TIME, to Shabazz Napier.

Shabazz is an absolute beast. He slipped in the draft and was a steal for the Heat. I think he will be a good STARTING point guard someday.
@dwizzlejerk9 жыл бұрын
I don't know why people think Shabazz will never amount to anything. His step back is filthy. There are plenty of starting PGs in the NBA can't make space like that. That kid is easily one of the top 5 guards UConn has ever had (and bear in mind that Kemba, Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen were UConn guards).
@sayros67119 жыл бұрын
People hated on Napier for his rookie season. Yeah he didn't put up good numbers and his assist-TO ratio was terrible but you can clearly see the potential is there. I can't wait to see how he does in his second year, learning from Dragic.

Napier is a good, crafty young Guard. If Miami gives him the opportunity, he WILL exceed what everybody thinks he is. He will be an amazing PG that could ride the bench and come in and score 13-15 a game with maybe a couple of assists. Give Napier time to mature.

@monafahmed57839 жыл бұрын
I think the heat can actually be title contenders next season. Beacuase if shabazz can stay like this with these nice highlights they have a good of. Second, if d wade can stay healthy and be consistent, you have a good shooting guard. And third you just drafted Stanley Johnson who can stay healthy and is a great small forward. And then Chris Bosh who is returning from blood clot In his lungs, you have a great PF. And then you Hassan Whiteside at center who came alive as a starter for the heat.
@vivalasexy9 жыл бұрын

@charless20869 жыл бұрын
Yep and just like that almost every single person patting him on the back now hate him and are going to come out and say he sucks. This kid was horrible last season. He showed some skill at times, especially when playing against guys that have to play in the pre-season. Anyway this isn't really his highlights, I actually think this might be every single play he made during the regular and pre-season. He could be a decent pro but he needs a TON of work. He's way too sloppy and he needs to stick to his strengths instead of jacking up bad shots.
@kevinmortensen4489 жыл бұрын
Charles S You're just a hater. First you say he could be a great player, then you say hes horrible and needs a TON of work.I think you're just pissed the Heat traded away their first round selection after just one year, because they dont have Lebron James's talent on the team.

Hope it works out for Shabazz in Orlando. Even though he may have turned out to be a bad investment for Miami after they even paid money to give him away for nothing to Orlando, the Miami Heat are still winners in this situation when you consider they gave up nothing to get Hassan Whiteside, Justine Winlsow, and Josh Richardson. The Heat made the right decision.
