The. Victoria pumpkins are gorgeous. Is it expensive to make the clay trim. I wanna make some.
@kindashabby3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Janice! The silicone moulds are about $15 each and the 2.2 lb block of clay is around $10. I’ve made several things with my clay and only used about 1/4 of the package. I’ve seen other gals on KZbin use caulking material in their moulds but I haven’t tried it yet.

Can you tell a difference between the IOD molds and Amazon molds? Everything is gorgeous!!!
@kindashabby3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Melissa! There is a big difference between the two. The IOD molds are bigger and much deeper, allowing for beautiful, easy to release elements. The micro rim around each element makes removing excess clay very easily. That being said, I still like the Redesign By Prima from Amazon and plan on purchasing more. They just require a little more work, but they are almost half the price of the IOD. Thank you for watching, and for asking such a great question!
@melissamccracken63273 жыл бұрын

Question???? In a previous post I viewed, you made round pumpkins out of cloth and put beans in them to help add weight to the bottoms; why wasn’t beans added to these pumpkins?? Paper towels you are using are the automotive shop towels, right? Viva would work also, but more expensive.
@kindashabby2 жыл бұрын
Hey Denise! I definitely could have put a few beans in the bottom to stabilize these pumpkins too, but my base had enough weight to hold up the topiary. Yes ma’am, they are the shop towels that I pick up from Home Depot. I reuse them several times and also cut them into smaller pieces occasionally to reduce costs.

Wat powder was u using in molds before putting in clay?
@kindashabby3 жыл бұрын
Hi Misty! I’m using a light dusting of corn starch. It helps the clay release from the molds a little easier. Thank you for watching!

Great video. I bought the DAS clay and I don't like it at all. It's too wet.

Thank you Mandi! I know lots of crafters who love the Sculpey and IOD clays. You may like them better too. Thank you for watching!

Thanks for watching, Linda! I shared things that you will be seeing in upcoming projects. Lots of fun things to sew and upcycle.
