Thank you for sharing some memories of your mother. I agree that you should keep the lace trim on the cardboard intact. When I heard 1967, I graduated from high school in 1966!!!! LOL seems like yesterday. Love your calming way of explaining how you do your beautiful crafts. Looking forward to seeing more. Diane

I too have some of my mother's sewing things along with her old sewing basket. Family heirlooms mean so much to me. Your choice of design is impeccable 👌. I'm right with you as we are dealing with a senior Beagle. I've had a few bad days myself. Blessings

Thank you, Martha. Family heirlooms are certainly a treasure. Even more so, the older I get. I hope your senior dog is well. It’s tough when our fur babies are sick.

Becky, I can relate. We have a 14 year old Dachshund and there are now more bad days than good, so I know all about the chicken broth ‘slurry’. Love EVERYTHING you do. Have been watching since Day 1 and still love the book page wreath! I have an old big wooden duck that sits on the bookcase, so I made him a book page rose necklace. I totally adore that handmade footstool in today’s video. I also have some little mementos from my mom that I will never use either, so I enjoyed seeing the lace (what a wonderful price on it). The Christmas decos were so pretty! Thanks for all--will be waiting for your next video.

Thank you for your sweet words, Sarah! I’ve had several Dachshunds; they are my favorite breed. My current pooch is a Jack Russell. I’m sorry your fur baby is struggling right now, it’s so hard! It makes my heart happy to know how much you enjoy my channel. I am overwhelmed by all you precious ladies and your continuous kindness to me!

Seeing your mother's lace reminded me so much of my mother's things. I found old dress patterns from the 50s and 60s and some ribbon, lace and button packages from back then. I've kept most of them. I love your footstool and Christmas ornaments so much.

I love it when the husband's help their wives, and, therefore, help us, too, by buying, cutting, sanding, etc. It is so sweet, and it shows that they know their wives and they appreciate what you do. So, I always like to say "thanks" to the hubs, too. 😊 Thank you, Becky's husband...Mr. Shabby. Mr. Shabby, and cousin Billy Finch Jr, did great. 😉😂 Nah, he knew you would transform them, beautifully, and you certainly did. All I can see is two guys, who had a little too much to drink, at the family reunion, going to the thrift shop, and picking those fourth of July baubles up, and saying "she'll love them," and when they get home.....you are giving them the side eye. 😂 😂 It's your fault, Becky, you put that image in my head, and I had to share it with you. 😂

You made me laugh so hard with this comment!!! Oh my goodness!!! Trust me, Mr Shabby and cousin Billy Finch Jr are quite the pair when they get together. I appreciate all the help I get from Mr Shabby. So many of these projects wouldn’t work without him.

That acorn was adorable! What a fun footstool design. Never saw anything like it. Bet a kitty would enjoy hiding underneath. Always enjoy seeing layers of different paint or wallpaper. Or even flooring, like old linoleum patterns. You really transformed those balls. Might try paper strips like that. Would be a fun treatment for the balls people set on a coffee table in a wood bowl or basket. Love all kinds of trim, pompoms, beads, feathers, fringe, lace, etc. 7 yards for cents! We wish! You could put her memorabilia items in a large apothecary jar or under a cloche. TFS

Thank you Serena! I’m glad you’re enjoying my older videos and appreciate you watching! My father-in-law made that funky footstool decades ago. And yes to discovering what layers lie beneath makeover projects! I love your idea of my mom’s laces in an apothecary jar! My craft room needs major cleaning after all the holiday crafting, and I’ll see if any of my jars are large enough to display her sewing supplies.

I,ve been watching all of your videos one after the other until I decided to finally leave a comment.I saw the video of the haul that Mr. Shabby and cousin Billy did and I was curious about what you were going to do with those 4th of july american flag bomb ornaments.Well let me tell you they are beautiful.I just love the way they turned out.Which gives me an idea on how I can redo some old christmas ornaments which I don't like anymore. The second thing is the date I saw on that lace.March 1967.WAOUUUUUU.Iwas just 2 years old.Make sure you cherish that.I would put that in a box frame since it belonged to your sweet Mom . plus the bench was very cute, so was the pumpkin and acorn coasters.I've all ready done the acorn coaster a little different from yours and they are great.Have a wonderful day from Corfu Greece.XOXO
