That is beautiful!!! Brings back many memories of when I was a little girl 5-6 years old, mom would give me the leftover pieces of fabric and lace from wedding gowns she was making (she was a seamstress) and taught me to hand sew them together to make dresses for my fake Barbie. (fake because they were too expensive to buy!) If they did not hold together properly she would take them apart to have me start over!! Maybe that is why I hate sewing so much today!!! LOL!!

This is absolutely gorgeous.. How wonderful to use that lace. I’ve used lace to sew round , small wreaths with red or green ribbon with real tiny poinsettia flowers on the bow or tiny little roses. A friend of mine trimmed her whole tree with the white lace wreaths. Looked beautiful with the white twinkling lights. Ahhh the memories!! Have a blessed day❤️

I’ve cut up a wedding dress, it didn’t bother me. It wasn’t mine or a family member’s so it was just a beautiful source of lace and satin. This is beautiful!

@@Desertbearsangel Good morning. Thanks for letting me know. I was just curious because I know that fabric can be frustrating to work with. Tea dying sounds cool.. I'm thinking you might get a crinkled look to it. Which will also be very cool. Covering a journal with it will be frustrating but awesome when done. When doing a sewing project with it years ago, I used some iron on backing to stabilize it...easier to work with.. But it did darken the fabric. Good luck with your projects. 🙂
