Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. I may have watched it 20 times, but I did achieve my 1st shacket!

If both fabrics are stretchy would you not size up?

Any tips on sewing the cuff in? I get how to put it together, but actually serging the seam is terrifying me and holding me up from finishing the shacket.

Did you fold in /or use double sided tape for the lining at about 6:20 in the video. Thanks!

What thread do you use for your serger?

Did you happen to use cotton spandex for the lining or a woven as well? It looks like it would be stretchy so I wanted to try and make this but wanted to make sure 😭❤️

Is this woven fabric? And did you used "only" the serger or did you add a straight stitch? Someone told me woven had to have a straight stitch before surging when using a 4 thread 🤔

I used just my serger for my woven flannel fabric and haven't had any seams pop or rip yet and my kiddos are pretty rough with their clothing🤞🏻 I have heard of that too with adding a straight stitch and then serging to finish the seams, I think I'm going to do that with my next shacket, just for the added reinforcement.

Can you use a 5t pattern but just make it a 4t length... like what about the arm holes? Youd want that sized up to right?

I think the idea is size up the width and keep your normal length if a non stretch material. That's what I did and it worked great.
