The master manipul8r and Thief of Light won't give her foes a chance to breathe, with boundless luck and relentless cerulean powers. It doesn't matter if she's a huge bitch, she has the strength to back it up!!!!!!!!
We officially have half of the original special characters done from Empty Slot 1! Vriska was by far the easiest to animate, but we still have two more to finish up... AND some of the other new revealed characters! For now, enjoy the moveset for the biggest bitch on the roster. And the lore is long this time around again oops
I had also bought a new laptop while finishing up this set! Hopefully this will improve workflow!

This was well worth the wait, especially with the lore segments at the beginning and end, which were well-crafted! The interaction Vriska had with Tord in the outro stood out to me especially not just for the dialogue between the two with Vriska trying to convince Tord to work with her but also how some shots have Tord drawn in the Homestuck art style, which is a nice touch. One small Easter egg I enjoyed seeing was finding none other than everyone's favorite Ninja Consultant on Vriska's bulletin board dedicating to connecting Tord to different characters in different spinoffs. The moveset itself was also amazing, out of the Homestuck characters in Beatdown, I think Vriska looks like the most fun to play as. I really liked how varied the Neutral B was, with possibilities ranging from small traps to a guillotine that deals massive damage to even an option where the opponent gets to wear a funny hat at the cost of increasing their hitbox. In terms of the Side B I like how the Magic Cue Ball allows for buffs but limits it so you don't overdo it and cause an explosion instead, meaning that there's strategy involved in using it at the right time. The Up B and Down B are simple and really help Vriska to time her attacks properly while the opponents are caught in a vulnerable state, and I like how the FS not only puts Vriska in a superform but also debuffs her competition so that the stakes are raised for them as it will affect them as they try to escape her wrath. Additionally, I really liked Mavilda's regular attacks, and how most of them shown here utilized her chainsaw. It's hard to believe that almost all of the ES1 characters are done, Beatdown has come a long way ever since it started and keeps on getting better with each video!

Wow this character was way more fun than I could have expected, that lore from Beatdownbound is going places now.. One day Gray will have his rematch..! >:v I love the way you implemented all the future seeing stuff and made everything not completely random with her Down B, but she can still totally function with her base dice since every attack is in the same general area of effect. Her slide and spins also are very Super Mario World esque I really want to mess around with that in an actual game! Excited to see which of the remaining characters is up next, I would guess its Batter since he had more drawn for this, but all of the remaining characters have fun stuff. Great work Shad, and sorry about the copyright filter, but it didn't ruin the scene so dont worry! Ozpin's sentence mixing felt very natural and easy to listen too

You really hit it out of the park with this one, Shad! I'll admit that my knowledge on Homestuck is very shallow, but this moveset alone has me hooked on the character! Their gameplay feels very chaotic in a fun way, but not to a point where EVERYTHING is down to random chance. You balanced it all out well! Honestly, Vriska would probably be my main if I could play this. Also, the lore of these videos keep getting better and better, I have to say. There's a lot of mystery and intrigue to all of this, it makes it a fun watch on top of an already great moveset. Pat yourself on the back for this one, dude!

From the moment this moveset started and showed Vriska hanging out with the rest of the Beatdown cast, to the really well written ending (props for finding the absolute perfect lines for Vriska and Ozpin, that's such a difficult task when it comes to Lawl-making), I enjoyed this moveset quite a lot! Even if she's not one of my favorite HS characters, I knew that she had a lot of moveset potential and you absolutely delivered! The different options of the Neutral B were not just very varied and cool, but also you included some of Homestuck's curious sense of humor with the weasel and of course NIC CAGE, and the idea of a character with two moves that rely on RNG, but with the ability to steal luck from opponents to turn those random outcomes into selectable options is such a clever idea. It really fits someone who doesn't play like the rules like Vriska! Final Smash was also quite exciting to see (I miss transformations in the real Smash so much). Once again the presentation is top-notch, and Beatdown looks more dynamic than ever with the camera movements. I really enjoyed the character choices during the different moves like Garnet showing up during a move involving future vision, and my girl Jade Harley having some good sleps! The normals shown for Vriska were also really cool, and seeing Mavilda primarily use her chainsaw for normals got a laugh out of me. Overall, it was gr8 definitely worth the w8. I r8 this moveset an 8/8!!!!!!!!

Hard to believe that there have been 6 movesets for Homestuck characters now. (7 if you count Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff.) And Vriska might actually be my favorite one. Her moveset was an absolute blast to watch. I like Neutral B and various options you're given, as well as it resting the web comics humor. Side Special was a fairly balanced buff move that prevents you from abusing it too much. Up B is a great aerial manuver move, and Down B has so many set up potential. Final smash was epic as always and great for messing with enemies. Complemting this amazing moveset is the the fantastic animation, Mrs. Mavilda's normal attacks, and Vriska's victories, especially when interacting with her fellow Homestuck characters. The lore continues to excite me. I loved the intro seeing her interacting with the rest of the cast, as well as her brief battle with Tord (and Spamton's cameo), how it ties BA k to the previous moveset, and how it sets up finding the multiple memories that seem to glitches when new fighters enter this world. The ending with Sekret and Palin was pretty intense, I'm impressed you managed to use full dialogue with them and only few sentence mixing. Overall, I'm happy you've managed to come this far, and I can't wait to see the rest of the first empty slot winners in action. As usual, take your time and have a good day.

Fantastic work once again on Lawl Beatdown! I’m very uneducated when it comes to homestuck, but I still REALLY enjoyed how this moveset! Vriska’s use of luck to gain the advantage in battle was very well translated into a fighting game setting with a great playstyle to boot. Her Neutral Specials randomly useful effects are very well made, her Side Special is a great balanced way to buff herself and gain a projectile at the same time, Up Special is a great airiel maneuverability tool, and Down B is a really cool short range set-up against enemies. I also really enjoyed the Final Smash, Ko’s (with some pretty good standards from Mavilda) and the taunts + victories against other Homestuck characters pulled the moveset all together very well! And I’ve gotten EVEN MORE invested with your amazingly detailed and established lore, and I’m very interested in how the other characters are affected by not remembering their pasts or how it happened. Good luck on the next set which I am very hyped for, as you did a great job here!

Excellent work as usual. Love your editing style, animating it to have such accurate physics make it really easy to imagine playing as them. Cause of that, it's easy to see how Vriska would be all about complex planning and making the most of her various tools, and that feels very fitting of her character.

I recently stumbled on your channel and binged a ton of Smash Bros. Lawl Beatdown over the last couple weeks. Seeing Vriska drop this morning felt like a very nice reward for catching up! I followed Homestuck since the beginning (started following MS Paint Adventures during Problem Sleuth), and while I fell off early into Act 6, this brought back lots of good memories of when I was following it new. I love seeing your interpretations of these characters in the Smash Bros. template, and Vriska's no exception - she feels like an obnoxious fighter in all the right ways. Good stuff!

What can I say about Homestuck character's movesets in lawl? Jade Harley (Nova) - Normal Terezi Pyrope (Liquid Crystal) - Could be better John Egbert - Good Karkat Vantas - Getting there Jane Crocker (Liquid Crystal) - Uhhh, ok Vriska Serket - This is.... This is by far the best one I've seen. All the many outcomes with the 8 d8, the risk with the magic cue ball if not carful, the Pshoos being a great recovery option, how the cerulean psonics can help you chose which option you want, and the final smash. Vriska is a character I would defiantly have fun playing as. Goodness, the lore just keeps getting better, the fact that you explained how Tord ended up being cornered by The Crystal Gems in the first place. It all started when he was approached by Vriska trying to get answers about who she is, and why she can't remember. And Tord is aware of that also? Having to lose his memories too? (And then Spamton had to intervene.) And Sigmund Corp from, To The Moon might be behind all of the memory lost, and static going on?! Man, I love this lawl spinoff! ShadBad knows how to explain a great story. Can't wait for more to come! (Also, shame that Rosster Teeth claimed that part with Ozpin & Vriska. But what can you do? Can't stop Copyright from happening.)

She's finally arrived! Still not really much of a fan of Homestuck, (My apologies to you, Skapokon and all other Homestuck fans in the Lawl community) but I was intrigued by Vriska's role here after seeing her in BeatdownBound. The intro was nice, seeing her pal around with the other characters. And the moveset itself was fun too. I particularly liked the Nicolas Cage head, the Magic Cue Ball and the Final Smash. I also liked her taunts and victory poses. ("YEAH!"- LA Knight) Now for the Outro. I was surprised about that actually. I was expecting them to fight each other, but I didn't expect Spamton to show up randomly. The scene with Vriska and Ozpin was interesting too. Damn Rooster Teeth copyright. Also, I'm an idiot for almost thinking yesterday was Tuesday, meaning that I thought her moveset was going to be yesterday.

This was a cool moveset I may not have seen much of home stuck but I know vriskas personality and abilities andI say you completely captured her personality and abilities to the fullest exstent her neutral B is a really cool one with a random effect that can benifet you in many different ways side B is good and the penalty is Fair and up B is pretty good but down B is one of the stars of this moveset the effect of her taking over you and then putting you to sleep at half charge is amazing and it can help in team battles and the luck stealing us the icing on the cake and her final smash it's so cool the way she slashes reminds me of sepiroths up B but more powerful you sir have truly gone the extra mile good job

She's returned from the war... VASKA As always you've turned in an A + piece of work here. You've really captured Vriska in all her Vriskaness, from the manipulation to the luck to the luck manipulation. It was just all very clever and cohesive and I'd imagine she'd be super satisfying to play as well. Not to mention it seems like she really has the potential to make herself extremely powerful, with all the buffs and nerfs at her disposal. I'm also glad to see that she will be taking a very active roll in the plot, which I'd expect no less from her. Irons are in the fire. One question, when she steals luck with her fully charged Down B, how long does that last for the opponent? Is it till KO or is it time based? All around amazing work though. I hope there's at least one more HS fighter down the line, your love for the series shows extremely clearly with each moveset you do :3 PS: Everyone remember to vote in the Empty Slot if you haven't! One of the most controversial parts of Homestuck who left the fandom completely split. A manipulative mega bitch with a cruel streak, who needed her own dedicated threads so that people debating over her didn’t completely take up other discussions. *clicks off Sarah Z’s HS vid* Sorry, I just needed to double check. But with all that said,,, this is easily one of the most fun, enjoyable and exciting Beatdown vids yet. Whether you love her, love to hate her, or plain hate her, Vriska Serket is a pretty entertaining troll, with her luck and manipulation of it being represented very well in her movepool. It honestly makes me crave more of it, characters themed around luck ᶜᵒᵘᵍʰ ˡᵃʷˡ ᵐᵃᵈ, because of how fun and creative it was pulled off here. When you look at her Neutral Special you might think oh a move that has multiple outcomes that can happen, that's such a dated Lawl concept. But really each roll does have their own uses, can be useful, and can even be funny like the Hat (thank you for giving Lawl its own Faust Afro like move) and Cage (you knew damn well this move would pop off with fans and viewers, as it should). Her Side Special made for a pretty clever way to represent her seeing future outcomes, and can even lead to some explosive trolling if timed right. Her Up Special gets right to the point and looks pretty fun to mess with. She can even use her aerials too upon descent which I assume can be useful (her and Stan Smith def need to have a Rocket Boot race). With Down Special I’d imagine it’d be tricky to use at first and new players might need a bit to learn they need to do a full charge. But it really feels like one of her best, most useful tools that can really turn the odds in her favor (thank you for the Jade cameo from Nova btw q_q). Final Smash is,,, god dang just really impressive on an editing level. It really feels like a solid combo of the destructive power in John's FS, and Karkat's FS where the opponents still screwed even if they still survive after it. A lot of other elements in this moveset were terrific too. From at last seeing Psycho Kids animated idle to some of Mavilda’s wonderfully wicked Standards being shown off, and to realizing all the editing you had to do for Vriska thanks to the inspiration clips. Oh yeah and the Intro and Outro segments were very, very well done here also (the gun jamming moment from no luck, holy crap was so good) . With these being in each moveset it feels like you’re getting part of a real, cinematic experience each time, it's so cool seeing other Lawls like Aureus and TSLZ trying and succeeding with it. Vriska admittedly wasn’t someone I was keen for at first mainly just from not really knowing her, but after a while I grew to really get excited for her moveset. With the wait being well worth it as you delivered a terrific representation. Can’t wait to see how her pursuit for answers goes and what the next step for this series is. Also this moveset literally did nothing wrong. Sorry had to get it out of my system pffft.

Not really much for me to say that hasn't already been said, the moveset is good and the lore is good, never read homestuck so I don't really have much to say, I do really like how you handled randomness though, you can though it out and deal with the randomness or you can use a buff to choose what you want, it meshes well with Vriska's playstyle and that's a good thing.
