Garnet brings her stoic yet careful disposition combined with her sheer strength and patience to show that she's stronger than anyone! Amethyst cracks the whip as her carefree and rough disposition lets her run circles around her foes and bring a smackdown in the ring! Pearl takes an elegant but fierce approach as she dances with her spear and delivers delicate and powerful blows that makes her strong in the real way! The people of this world believe in the Gems, and they will not disappoint!
Being in the roster since the first Direct, the Gems are finally getting their moveset! Thank you guys once again for staying patient and sticking with me- while they had 3 movesets sneak in before they were done, the Gems are finally getting their triple moveset underway! Buckle in, because this one's really densely filled!

Holy crap, it's been five long years since their reveal and were currently my most anticipated newcomer of the empty slot batch (aside from Tord lmao) Anyways good god those 20 minutes were absolutely golden. Each moveset for each gem felt so perfect and drastically unique in their own ways. Out of all the gems I'd prolly play as Garnet the most. A powerhouse with relatively simple moves and my most preferred form of recovering. Also, wanna appreciate that had to go through the tedious pleasure of animating four final smashes, which is beyond insane. Speaking of them, I absolutely love how they're all the fusions the Crystal Gems can make, including Alexandrite!!! Nothing else to say, since I'm not a diehard fan of Steven Universe as much as other people in the community but this was phenomenal. You deserve a long break man. [Spoilers down below lol] AND NOW ONTO THE LORE, which I personally found to be the highlight of this video, good GOD! The animation for the RWBY characters is insane, please teach me how you're able to make their animations so smooth... And the outro fight with Tord and DIO was nothing but pure epicness, with DIO now engaging in combat himself. Surprised he didn't shatter Amethyst when he poofed her. I'm also starting to understand the static. I noticed that when Amethyst reformed she changed from her S1 appearance, to her S2 appearance. It seems that having different time peroids of characters in one universe is messing memories as well as other things up, especially in Pearl's intro and Vriska's cutscene in Beatdownbound. Something funny is going on... Also hell yeah Beatdownbound stage : )

WHERE DO I START Genuinely this could be not just my favorite moveset out of all of Lawl Beatdown but up there as one of the greatest movesets of all time. Similar to the Eds in Lawl What-If, this is a trio of movesets that just scream the personalities of the characters all the way through. Even as a fan of the show I got pleasantly surprised with some of the move choices as I mostly expected the gems to fight by using the techniques that they use during the fight scenes, so seeing a few of their non-combat skills be highlighted as part of the moveset was genuinely a lot of fun. Garnet for instance was the slow heavy hitter that I expected, but seeing the Future Vision be handled as such a unique take on the typical counter move was really fun. It makes the player almost have to read the future on their own given the fact that you need to choose the most appropriate counter with each specific action that the opponent is going to use against ya. Pearl was also unexpected with her Side B and Up B, with the former referencing one of my favorite episodes of the early run of the series in a very technical way (as Pearl would like it lol) and Up B being a fun reference with the unique property of giving your character a new set of aerials. Amethyst HAS to be my favorite though, even if in the show itself Pearl is the best mom. Her being a grappler was such a bullseye decision, and while the use of her whip was really creative, I was particularly surprised by the inclusion of Purple Puma as the Up B. The fact that it's a move that can be used as a disrespect is the absolute kind of crazy idea that Amethyst would have herself. I also have to really compliment the little details and this is the best moment to mention them because Amethyst has two of my favorites, with her using a Sonic-inspired move on a character dressed up as Mario, and her Purple Puma victory pose having the audience boo her as opposed to cheering for her! Oh, and the gems staying as items in stamina mode sounds hilarious too. Did you also know that my jaw dropped when Garnet used her final smash? Mainly because of how my brain went "holy shit they're gonna have unique final smashes". The fact you managed to include all three of their fusions AND Alexandrite is incredibly impressive, plus the fact that each one of them functioned so differently with the transformation Final Smash being left for the most powerful of the fusions. The fact you went the extra mile with this aspect is almost as breathtaking as the lore scenes, where everything is incredibly well animated whether we have the characters talking to each other or having a non-Smash fight (Garnet and The World throwing hands is something I never knew I wanted). Seriously man, every time I think that you won't be able to make a better moveset, you always find a way!

Dude this set came out amazingly worth the wait I like how each gem kinda work to each other weaknesses like the show If you want that brute force kill power with some baiting you got Garnet If you want some range to get your opponents close enough for grappling you got amethyst You want some quick movement with combo potential and rely on distancing you Pearl Good stuff- love the touch that every fusion gets to be in a final smash Lores gotten pretty heavy, like how Dio has finally made his appearance on the cast- not that much of a jojo guy his entrance and the world vs Garnet was pretty sick The static I believe is the characters future memories existing in silver linings and shows the course of their series is changing Amethyst new design happening from Dio killing her Pearl having looking at the beach house and seeing static of events that didn’t happen yet such as the Steven universe future finale, kinda like someone attentional is changing their paths slightly and this static is the sign of it, if it’s good or bad- hard to say yet Good stuff as always Also like the detail of Steven being missing as said in beatdownbound

The time has finally arrived! It took half a decade, but the Gems are finally here! Also, 20 minutes? Ooh boy, this is a long one. Then again, this was 3 movesets in one. Their Final Smashes were definitely unexpected though. And the lore was great too. It was exciting to finally see Dio actually get dressed and do something in the story.

Well holy forking shirt, this set was amazing! Fantastic work as always, especially with cropping various characters. Would 100% main Amethyst due to that combination of Incineroar, Bowser and Sonic in one kickass fighter. ...this should be far enough, methinks. There was some text that appeared during the fight between Tord and the Gems. It mentioned "some things are meant to be forgotten" and I have a feeling that relates to the Echo Fighters - save for Dangeresque and Eduardo - given most of them were hidden away until pivotal moments in their original source material. They were forgotten by most others and now they want out. As for that weird static and the mention of memories, something about this tells me Watts and Rosalene may play an even bigger role than we think in the lore. What that is remains to be seen, but I have the faintest feeling the reason every hidden character on the villains' side in the intro video is connected to it. Also if you read down this far, I hope you have a good day and get some good rest.

So random thing about the Lore and the Empty Slot: This makes me remember my prediction about Eleven being one of those fighters that gets in upon 20 votes. I have a hunch that she may be brought in to find Tord via sensory deprivation... Plus I just hope she is because I love Stranger Things.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Steven Universe, but this was a fantastic moveset. You’ve worked on on these characters for five years now, and all the passion and effort clearly show. All three movesets do a good job of giving a basic description of their personalities, with Amethyst probably being my favorite of the trio, due her her unpredictable nature, and versatile use of her Neutral Special. Final Smashes were awesome as well, considering how you managed to uses all the possible fusions between them. Animation was also smoothly transitioned, especially the attacks in the Ko segments, and the lore was epic as well, doing everyone character and giving our first glimpse into Dio actually participating in the fights. I’m also amazed at how the various glitches between timelines will play out in the story (Also, is it just me or does anyone get the feeling that Shad’s hinting at Umbridge being the mole for the villains?) As usual, another fantastic moveset, and a way for you to start the new year. Take as much time as you need, and I look forward to seeing the rest of the characters very soon. (Ps. Didn’t notice the Beatdownbound until reading the comments. Nice touch)

(checks the comments) wait, it's been that long? (checks) OH MY STARS!! damn. time really does pass by quickly, but i'd say the wait was more then worth it! Steven Universe is a show that means a lot to me, and honestly changed me, so the simple fact the gems are in lawl, and done by a lawl as amazing as this one..the word hype would be an understatment. like Skap said. the moveset for these girls have a nice mix of stuff from both thier fights, and some casual moments, all while fitting with thier personality and playstyles perfectly! In tern, this made the movesets more surprising for me along with fun! The fact you can make the order go in reverse while switching is a nice touch and makes switchig between them more convinent. the music choices here are also BOMB/fitting picks! Other details like the huds switching to unique ones of the fusions during the final smash (which btw, i adore, are a warm welcome, and are more then fitting, giving the chance for these fusions to shine!) ..i really wanna talk about the sets themselves more, but other have said it for me..plus, i don't think i even could if i tried. overall, some of the best 20 minutes of my life..make that 40 since i litterally watched this again right after from how amazing this was! bravo man!

This was your most impressive video yet, and that's saying a lot as Beatdown is one of the most impressive Lawls I've seen! All three Gems getting their own unique movesets is cool, with each one reflecting their strengths and weaknesses shown throughout Steven Universe. Garnet is more of a powerhouse type that's best for close combat, Amethyst is best for getting opponents closer and hitting them harder when they do, and Pearl is best with projectiles and holographic clones for far away attacks. I also like how each one has their own Final Smash and a Final Smash for all three played as a team together, which has a lot of variety in terms of what they have in store. Also, I had a lot of fun with the lore, namely with how the Crystal Gems were sent by Watts and Rosalene to try to defeat Dio, and the battle between them and Dio was amazing! It's nice to see Dio fight directly with the competition as opposed to generally taking a back seat while Tord or another one of his minions do his dirty work for him. I also really like the attention to detail throughout, such as the moveset starting out with a title card similar to a Steven Universe episode, as well as the outro ending on a similar ending transition to the ones the show uses. This was well worth the wait, especially as they (alongside the rest of the ES winners from the first slot) are a lot of fun to watch in battle and in their own show, and I look forward to Beatdown's future offerings as well!

Good thing you took your time making this moveset, because it is an absolute masterpiece. Loved everything from the animation, to each of the gems' playstyle, all true to their characters and each one with so much detail. Each of them even have their own fusions and they all make one huge Final Smash. I also enjoyed the nods to the original show and Future, the lore cutscenes thrown at the beggining and end made it feel like an actual episode. If you would have to make me choose just one, i'd have to go with Amethyst for her mobility and surprise attacks. My hat's off to you, good sir. That's why the people of Lawl Beatdown believe in Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl (and Shadbad!)

I am speechless… where do I even begin? This video has made Lawl Beatdown hit yet another peak! There’s so much to uncover here, so so may as well get into to it: First off, as someone who has seen Steven Universe, I can comfortably say that the movesets themselves are absolutely amazing in every way! I can’t even choose which Gem was my favorite, as they all can be played well in any situation, and their movesets chosen attacks and music all for their characters exponentially well. Garnets strength shown off through her attacks having such strong impact on opponents and letting her counter them or put them into a disadvantage so she can follow-up with one of her powerful standard moves in order to make up for her speed is some really good moveset writing. This being toned with her skills, personality, and fighting style all being shown very well makes her moveset very well made. Amethyst was incredibly well made, with her ranged whip attacks and unpredictable movement when paired with her transformations make her a natural at approaching enemies and surprising them to make up for her stats. All of her versatile tricks with each move look greatly designed and function very well. Pearl finished off the trio incredibly strong, with her great reach and combo game helping her with lower damage output in comparison to the other Gems, and her attacks being able to defend her and zone-out enemies while allow her to stay combos off them made the moves flow together very well. Then there’s the fusion final smashes, which were great choices, and each of the functions as different types of Final Smashes was a smart move, and Alexandrite being a very powerful Final Smash as a reward for surviving to 150% with the Gems is such a great decision as well. Then there’s everything else in the moveset on top of the mind-blowingly great moveset, like the fantastic animation, paying tribute to every stages layout and hazards, the attacks of ALL the shown characters being looking and great, the special details for the Gems Star and Stamina Ko’s, and the Taunts and Victories ending of this moveset amazingly. And the Lore… I can’t even describe in words with how good it is! Every character fitting their characters, the interactions, the tension of the situations and Dio’s presence, it all left me so satisfied and interested In what will happen next. And can I just say your a really great voice for Tord as well? Overall, this moveset left me speechless for the very best reason possible. This is an easy contender for one of your best Lawl videos, if not the best! I can’t applaud and thank you enough for this set. 10/10. You killed it Shad, And this was definitely worth the wait. Good luck on the next video!

Oh noes Spamtong killed the Crystal Gems : ( Like this if you cry every time I just marathoned all your vids, and man, you have grown so much from an already pretty decent starting point. Some of those animations were pretty bonkers smooth, like Amethysts transformations and Pearls normal attacks, not to mention her mech. On top of that, Tord is like, pretty much all original animation at this point if I'm not mistaking? That's crazy too, you are the top Lawl for a reason Shad. And no one has taken the crossover nature of Lawl and milked it for all it's worth like you have. (Nice Beatdownbound stage btw! Or is that just an Alt for the training grounds, I can't tell) I am genuinely invested with the story your telling and simultaneously want to see how it ends and also don't want it to end cause it's the gold standard quality of the community. The fact that everyone on that empty slot can't get a move set done by you is a little painful lol. Moveset was great, not much to add there. Although all the Final Smashes were just the cherry on top. Glad to see that Fusion was represented, and it didn't just end up being Alexandrite only. Sweet Jesus, that was incredible. It's been a long road to get here, but this is your best work yet, and marks another peak for lawl projects as a whole. 20 minutes of impeccably intricate movesets, which fit each individual character to a tee, and function immaculately as a whole unit. I myself don't think I can choose a favourite with how good they all look, but if my arm had to get twisted, I would probably say Garnet, due to the cool recovery, and the powerhouse moves to close out matches, or start them up. This shows a level of dedication which is inspiring, especially having to make all those final smashes, jeez that must've been a massive undertaking. Overall I am over the moon, as a long time fan, and I can say with the utmost confidence that this marks another golden age for this project, with so much incredible potential it's practically bursting at the seems. Keep up the masterful work, and have a lovely day.

That was a great moveset. I wasn't the biggest fan of the show, but I watched it from time to time, and enjoyed it. The moveset was great, but I have one tiny nitpick. The "Down B is switch" thing. Yeah, I get why, but since shield specials were a thing, I haven't seen many uses for it. It doesn't hinder my enjoyment of the moveset, however.

This video is top tier when it comes to... NO! This whole Lawl is top tier when it comes to animating the normal attack, and the movesets, and the lore/story telling. This video was amazing! You are amazing at what you put out for us. I say that you deserve a break from all that work for a triple moveset that was put on hold for years ever since they were first revealed. Awesome job dude, I don't really have much to say because I've never watched Steven Universe but still, all three look fun and unique to play as and that's good enough for me, it was awesome to see so many normals in this video too, the lore this time was great too. (I wonder what Dio did to Amethyst) Also no offence, but I did notice that Blockhead's attack at 4:30 and the last attack in Amethyst's combo at 5:59 didn't have those popups that show what move they are, so were those intentional or were those just mistakes?
