I agree with what you said at 1:14 so much! My theory is that Shade was *going* to be Legendary, but was turned Epic for some unknown reason. Perhaps concerns over the amount of Legendaries recently released pushed them to make Shade an Epic. Besides how unique phasing through walls is and how that should basically guarantee legendary status, Shade even follows this one Legendary Brawler design principle I heard about in a KZbin video about reworking Kit. (From the video) Most or all Legendary Brawlers share the theme of being easy to pick up, but have some skillful mechanical or are hard to master. I think Spike and Leon demonstrate this principle the best: they’re admittedly easy to play at first, but tons of skill expression when it comes to things like positioning Spike shots perfectly or strafing/mind games. Shade follows this idea very well! Their main attack pretty much as a tipper like Draco, and their super can be used in a variety of ways.
