You may have been trying to make people laugh, but you actually showed a level of excellence in dancing to be commended! Many men would never bother to put on pointe shoes, let alone dance in them! What you thought was exagerrated choreography actually looked exactly like what female dancers are required to do, in extending their bodies and holding difficult positions until the last micro-second to bring out the most emotion possible in the production and the audiences' reactions. All three of you are actually quite talented and strong! Thank you for sharing this performance with us!

Can I just say, to all the people down here who saying that only a man truly secure in his masculinity would do something like this: you are absolutely half right. That's a revolutionary statement as far as men who are masculine and heteronormative, but what about the one's who aren't? What about the guys who identify as more feminine??? I don't know anything about these dancers. They could very well be straight and cis, but if they're not, that's okay too! It makes me sad to see people moaning about "why'd they wear tutus" or "ewww... but they're dudes". The pointe (pun intended) is that this was very well done. I don't think the majority of people are realising that this is a complete dynamics shift for these guys. Men aren't allowed to use soft, pretty port de bras in ballet, they don't usually do too many adages, extensions, or simple light allegro when performing, and they never dance on pointe unless the character is laughable and intended to be ugly. They have trained for years as male dancers and they suddenly made this complete shift to make everything feminine. And you know what: THEY DID FUCKING AMAZING. I just had to say that... my conscience wouldn't let me rest until I did.

Rachel Bono so when we say “secure in masculinity”people generally mean a straight man feels comfortable and un threatened bu wearing female clothes. It’s like if a male wore women clothing on average and had to be secure enough to wear mens. It works that way too. But generally speaking men are afraid they’ll look less strong. Less caveman like and butch or whatever if they show emotion, dress in females clothing for some reason, etc. That’s the general gist of it.

There is literally no reason why men shouldn't wear pointe (and women shouldn't dance male parts). It's really cool to see how different body types inhabit different dance styles (and this might open things up for more diverse women's bodies in dance - like taller and more muscular).

Absolutely in love with him ! Wonderful dancer, hot guy , and a great aplombe on pointe , but what more I like about him is his smile.... always on his face : it reveals joy and happiness at work (an hard work). 💚
