Kevin, solar is great for camping. Jerod's camper has one solar panel on the roof that keeps his deep cycle battery charged. He needs to add another one, because when we use it during deer season in November/December, the one panel isn't enough to keep the battery charged. At night his 12v refrigerator and the 12v blower motor for the furnace pulls quite a bit. For what you are using it for the one panel is probably sufficient for your needs. That Gorilla tape is awesome stuff!! That should be a good seal on that panel. Good job on the holes into the roof and sealing them up. Good job you two!! Thanks for sharing! Juddie

Kevin, your battery is an SLA battery so you don't have to worry about charging it with the temp is below freezing. Also, I have extra MC4 cables and a charge controller you can use for your chicken coop. You gotta tell me how long you need on the cables. That looks like a real nice panel.
