Josh, I got hit by a car on my bike just over two years ago. Lost my left leg in the wreck. I'm just getting around to where I can start walking again, and am presently on the hunt for a cheap ass Dyna to get back in the saddle. Watching your videos has been a real respite for me, man. I can't express how much this channel has meant to me. A world of thanks from Mobile AL, Steve

That long lake was Klamath Lake... You would have to have turned right and climbed to 6000 feet to see Crater Lake! Well worth the trip if you get another chance I would definitely recommend it!

Imo 1 good friend is the best ‘group’ to ride with. Especially if the friend is the same skill/endurance level as you are. Big groups slow you down or force you to do stuff you’re not comfortable doing. Been on both sides😅

Josh, I love it when you turn to Chey and say “It’s me and you vs the world kid, and it’s a big world!” with the music background on top, it’s like a scene from a movie! Was it from a movie? And when you turn right on that street and you say it’s the wrong way, no, I think you were actually right the first time because when you turn around, parked cars on either side of the street are facing you. I think you drove up a One Way, Dude! Hahaha! 😉👍

BRO U r exactly right, there are more bikers out there that will be accepting of another biker, than won't be in my experience, and I've been on some sort of 2 wheeled machine since getting my Motorcycle learners permit way back in the late 80's, rockets, cruisers, big ole baggers it doesn't matter to most of us what someone rides, we're all living the same dream....keep it rubber down brother, see U on the road.

I live in Eugene, 100ish miles south of Portland, finally healed completely from totaling my '93 Honda on May 3rd. I totaled a 93 Nighthawk (and a 2015 Nissan p/u tbh lol) broke 4 ribs, right collarbone and both bones in my left forearm pretty badly. Bought ANOTHER 93 Nighthawk 3 weeks after I got out of the hospital, this one needs some love before I go for any cruises, but soon. If I have to wait for next season then so be it. Did I mention I turn 70 this next April, been riding since I was 10, this was my first crash w/another vehicle, last time I wanna do THAT! Maybe we'll get to ride together next year! Can't keep an old biker down! Sorry I missed you....

This is exactly what happend with me man... I've always wanted a motorcycle, always. But after loosing a few friends on accidents it always worried me. I'd say three years ago I found your channel and you my man, made me say "Fuck it... you want it, you watch Shades videos with a smile on your face all the time, its time you fucking do it." and I did... I couldn't afford my dream Harley but gaddamit I got what was 2nd best to me... my Yamaha Stryker. So Josh, thank you for helping me see what I was missing and make the jump!! As I already mention in another video, if y'all mofo's are ever in my neck of the woods, and that's up in Montreal, Canada... beers on are me my brother!
@c0dy12872 жыл бұрын
I'm more of a sport bike guy but I always loved the look of those Strykers. I fear accidents too, but it doesn't stop me either. Instead fighting it, I made friends with the fear to help me stay focused and keep me alive. Yeah there's no helping things that are out of our control but I'm also much more afraid of reaching the end of my life with no stories worth telling and nothing to look forward in old age but a slow crawl to death.
@croscoe3332 жыл бұрын

Josh, loved the video! I love riding my bike. I put it to work in my life. I check the mail, I go pick up stuff from the store. I’m making the motorcycle part of my life. Not just a Sunday Afternoon cruise. It’s a cheap $2500 Shadow 750 and I love it! I’m loosely planning long rides. Meaning one day I’m just gonna wake up and point the bike and go.

But I don't like most people enough to put forth the effort. I've gone on a few 200+ mile trips myself thanks to you, for the indirect encouragement to not only buy a bike but to go on longer trips even if it's alone.

Be going on group ride Saturday for MIA/POW be the biggest one yet as over here when I take off its me and BB my chi. Just to go shopping it's 120 miles round trip or more. I hook up a small cargo trailer behind my trike as it's just more fun and saves money. My truck is a diesel so it likes to drink. Or someday I go up in the mts for lunch. Got over 11000 miles in a little over a year. So get out there and ride.
