Josh, I’m sorry but I can’t leave a “like” for this video, because I loved it. Yes a 63 yr old saying he loves a video. Back in the early to mid 70’s when I first got into bikes my 2 mates and I would buy the Easyrider mag for two reasons. The David Mann paintings and the great stories. This was all triggered for us when we went to the cinema and saw Easyrider. I also loved Triumphs and still do, but not so much the modern stuff. I owned a couple of Triumphs a 750 Trident and a 750 Bonny. As soon as I saw that bike then the picture it was built from brought back so many memories. Thanks for doing the vid and thanks to you for wanting to check Mr Weems out. Being ex military myself and being medically discharged made me feel closer to him. Thanks again Josh from Down Under.

@@shadetreesurgeon Dear Shadetree, This message is from your would be friend, who you don't mind being the former enemy, as an ex car driver. I have answered my question now, regarding certain Harley Davidson motorcycles. What I should have asked you though, is what does FLHR mean, which I have now found out, means Frigging Long Haul Rider. Could I ask you though please, what is your opinion, if I haven't asked you already, regarding whether the Kawasaki models are death trap bikes, as I have been told, it is possible to get killed doing ANY speed, riding a Kawasaki, and a friend reckons a friend got killed on one, just doing a steady 20 mph? Thank you.

Back in the day when someone said “chopper” you didn’t automatically think HD. If you wanted a chopper you chopped what you had, Triumphs, Harley’s and Japanese bikes. If you look through old magazines and catalogs it wasn’t as Harley centric as it is today. I rode a chopped BSA, my buddy’s rode Triumphs and Honda’s one guy rode an Indian when it would start.

My neighbor was from the Philippines and worked on everything you can imagine and even built carts like the shriners ride and worked on cars but mostly bikes.
