Bert seems awesome and knows what his customers want. I have never had a dealer experience like that. Flip's Bonny. The bike has not been tuned for the new exhaust so is not running at it's potential, actually, probably running lean and that's just mean on his pistons. Every bike that I have removed the cat on has been dyno tuned after and they have all been too lean on the baseline run... Modern machines have to run towards the lean end of the acceptable range to pass emissions from the factory.
@ababbit74612 жыл бұрын
Bonneville has "claimed" 80 hp at the crankshaft and only 64 hp at the rear wheel. That sounds about right. Manufacturers put their "claims" at the crankshaft because it is a lot higher than at the rear wheel where the real action takes place. Good video Shadetree.

When I was a wee laddy all the bikers in the neighborhood used to argue what was the best HD engine ever. The Knucklehead of the Pan-head. It was like religion to them. And if I said how about the shovelhead and they would say Shovel's are for mucking out the barn. Then when the Evo came out all the guys riding their Shovel's were like calling them Evil's as they were evil. Then the Twin Cam came out and of course they all called them the Twin Scam. I guess Harley owners take a long time before they accept an engine. They won't really accept an engine until it's no longer in production because they have a tendency to always hate whatever is in production.
