I think this is the best way to learn inkstitch. No messing around but very skillful. Thanks. other youtubers mess around for 40 minutes only for me to get confused.

If you play with end row spacing in params; you can have your rows of fill stitches go from super close to wide appart gradually, which would give an even better shading effect

Thank you for your efforts - You are my go to resource for all things inkscape/institch machine embroidery. Keep up the good work. Wondering if you would consider doing a video on machine embroisery x-stitching using inkscape/inkstitch?

Great video. I will definitely keep your process for shading in mind. I am just starting my journey with embroidery. One question, did you do a video explaining how to turn the stoke into a satin stitch? I have tried but was not able to get the same results. I am sure I am missing a step. Thanks in advance!!

Nice results! I haven't tried it, but Ink/Stitch has a "Color Blending" hidden feature that can vary the row spacing over a distance. Used with two thread colors it can make a gradient.

Thanks for watching and commenting! We eventually want to try this feature out, but for now we wanted to try something simple and also get shaded results!

Hi! Do you guys know if there is any way to make the stitching start at the top and continue all the way down without it starting at the top, and then changing directions at the end. When half of my design is embroidered, it moves down to the bottom and meets the rest of the embroidery in the middle. I always find that it leaves a gap, or that fabric gets pushed up so that the stitching can't cover it. I would like my design to just start at the top and stitch to the bottom, but even with "commands" and picking start and end point it doesn't work. Do you guys know if this is fixable? Thank you in advance! (sorry if my English doesn't make sense, I'm Swedish)

Hi! Sorry to hear you’re having issues with it embroidering correctly. I think there is different ways to fix it, but one way is to turn on your manually routed fill stitch in params (if it’s a fill stitch). We talk about this at 19:23 in our params video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnmuo3-DgZagf7s. Hope this helps!

It’s a trend now where they create an image that looks like embroidery. Can you make a vid on how to get that mock embroidery look on Inkscape
