I jjust wish artiists admit and show the tracing technique Many just draw and fake the starting point .... ..many non artist expert viewers are tricked into thinking ...its all free hand I love the shading but disappointed by not showing first step... ..tracing outliines

Hello sir, I'm an artist myself and used to pictures of buildings and skylines in the past 20 years, but since 2014, I have been doing portraits. I just wanted to say that I do admire your work hugely and wondered if you could give me any pointers or tips on how I can improve on the likenesses of some of the portraits that I do and also how to apply tones properly and carefully.

I build on it layer after layer, from light to dark, and its important to use different range of pencil grades from H to maybe 10b

The darkest pencil i’ve come across is the primo elite grande but the buttery texture of the conte is better, i have no idea how you managed to sharpen it to a fine point though, mine just snaps lol

I must try that Primo Pencil too.....yes Conte is prone to breakage I had to be very gentle, I use this like metal Sanding clip for a sharp point

Merry Christmas 🎄🎅 Idol yung bosni clear paint pinoprotect ba niya ung colored pencil like fcccp para hindi magfade? Sana masagot mo tanong ko❤
@BMDPortraits11 ай бұрын
Napapatagal nya ng konti, pero magfe fade pa rin lalo na kung exposed, so kung di mafe frame dapat secured sa hangin, para tumagal, pero dahil fcccp na kids grade, kukupas pa din talaga in a few years.

Can everyone learn to draw?
@BMDPortraits11 ай бұрын
I Think, Yes, to a certain extent, although not everyone can be an artist, just like everyone can learn to sing or dance, but not necessarily be a singer or a dancer.
