To add up.. After the recording yesudas fell sick.. A small correction recording took 2 days.. And it was not 59 takes.. Yes there were many takes but not so many.. I forgot the number.. And the song was first offered to mohd Rafi sir who rejected it.. It then came to das sir.. Movie name is tansen.. It did not release or definitely a national award song

yesudas considered raafi saab as a respect. which is needed for a great singer. why north indian always had ridiculous mindset to admit a singer from south? you are not aware about yesudas. He is fine singer 9 language where raafi was a failure. he could sing the songs only in hindi. There are a lot of difficult songs in yesudas' credit. which is unable by raafi saab. But never rate him higher rafi, it's foolishness. no singer is higher than him. yesudas in a majority of his songs did bring in the same spiritually melodious vibe owing to his beautiful voice. But the purity with which a song's every layered and nuanced emotion and expression could be delivered in the most seamless and easy way with inherent buiilt in style and variety of modulations timed perfectly, is all in the bag of only mohammed rafi, and no one else. and manna dey=yesudas. and kishore kumar=yesudas on the commercial front. and kishore kumar was no less a genius, without formal classical training, he owned most of the raaga based songs in his career like a pro, doubt if yesudas ji could ve gone to such an extent without his musical training. having said so, in classical, yesudas>>kishore kumar.

At the end of it, when certain people told us `Dada, this song is too heavy,' I had to intervene. Jain: When I composed the music for "Tansen", there was one particular song that played on the ragas and the position of the sa. Mohammed Rafi was at his peak then. When I played this song for him, he told me, "Raviji, Mohammed Rafi would not be able to sing this song in this lifetime." That was the greatness of Rafi. . It was finally sung by Yesu. Both of us worked on that song for two days during the recording. No food, no break or even a sip of water. We finished it only after 59 takes.

Hahaha ur stupid yesudas was in his prime as 38 young boy singing this hard number in 1979. And the greatest RAFI was one year away from his heavenly abode, lol what a comparison!! Had RAFI been given this song in that same age than it would have been sung it easily and effortlessly in 60s whereas yesudas had to be hospitalised after the song haha. U stupid illiterate frustrated malayali fanatics need to smell reality!! Ur stupid yesudas himself knew that the greatest RAFI was his musical godfather!!

​@@thegod2479 ...it is true that , Mohd. Rafi abandoned this song as he couldnt sing this song. It is true...you cant hide the truth. what you think Rafi was better than yesudas, no never...Rafi didnt learn music as yesudas learned. Yesudas learn music in ' Sangeetha Colleage' Trivandrum and he has a number of Guru's....is there any story like so about Rafi..????
