Nei anni 60 fece diversi prototipi di questo tipo, infatti dopo i vettori Saturno,era previsto,questo metodo molto meno costoso e meno carburante,poi si fece invece i shuttle che sono super costosi e un sacco di carburante,nei anni 80 rifece prototipi con vettori x33 anche questo non andò in porto nonostante era molto affidabile, ancora dopo 50 anni abbiamo i shuttle

With only three SHADO interceptors each equipped with only one missile, I'm wondering why the aliens don't do a saturation attack of multiple UFOs to overwhelm the moonbase interceptor system.
