If you put a stone in the town, let people dance around it long enough and it'll have your God symbol on top, if you place the stone in a village it'll give tons of believe each time you put it down, and if you put a wonder scaffold over or next to the stone it'll create a giant wonder

Land four fireballs are easy to deal with, catch one fireball and pitch your screen up to the sky, then you can catch them all easily, and you can turn on slow motion if you want to

btw if you were to play as an overly evil god, nemesis will come out as the "embodiment of good!" he's always your opposite!

@@ShadoSpartan44 No real changes in the dialogue, just changes in his temple design. Same thing with his creature during the final fight (remember, your creature has a separate alignment than you and they don't have to match, despite playing evil I always keep the creature on the good leash so he won't destroy my village). If you have a 100% good creature with 0 fat then his creature will be 100% evil with a gigantic belly, it's honestly quite hilarious.

22:00 in case you're intersted: if you place a villager from a different village near the Town Center to make him/her a builder they can rebuild the town center, even tho they are from the other village. this will work as long as the town doesn't have enough room for the villager you place to become part of the Norse village. i sometimes use that to build worship sites faster, i get builders from the village nearest to the temple to build them, so the villagers from the far away town don't have to run as far. there is a glitch associated with doing that tho, namely if you put wood on the building site it will disappear. so maybe only put wood on the building after you got the 'foreign' villager to build start building

i did try that, and he just turned into a norse villager then ran to the worship site. That's when I reloaded a save and started over :P

The weird thing is that the game launches for me on 1.0 without any problems on win 10. The patches are mostly to skip the initial tutorial and get 1080 resolution. Guess I'm just lucky because I read a shitton of horror stories about trying to get the game to work. Also for anyone who has problems with installing the patches to the game, apparently the patches glitch out when the game folder has spaces in the name (which it has by default because it installs to "Black and White" folder) so if you install it in to a folder called for example "BNW" then the patches will install properly.

Underrated video for sure. Black & White was an amazing game, It's a shame it isn't on sites like GOG or Steam, I played this to death as a kid. I sure wish one day we'd get a Remaster with a better engine, graphics and additional story missions, this game has so much charm to it and legitimate future potential, alas Video Game Publishers seem to see this game as nothing but abandonware

How exactly do you go into the files and get miracles from the start? Can you also edit starting wood and food???

i recall you had to go into the game files and open which ever land file with notepad. Yes you can change the miracles for each specific village, i just put "FOOD" and "WOOD" for my starting village on each land.

@@robertx3175 Yeah in each land file it should have a number for each village, i believe each village has a number and your starting village is number 1 so just change each miracle for each village. Then go to the next land file and do the same

@@robertx3175 yep, just change the miracles from whatever they currently are to whatever you want. I found this: www.ayushsharma.in/2005/06/black-and-white-tips-and-editing-the-game You'll need to find a list or just look at the other maps for the correct names to get the miracles you want for the village you want
