You make a really valid point! I’m also one of those fans who liked s1 better than the original GrishaVerse trilogy, so I’ll wait until the show comes out to see how I feel about s2. Even though it’s the Crows I’m in for, I do want the other S&B storylines to be satisfying too 😊😊😊.

The Crows were good (if somewhat plot-pointless) in S1, but Alina's arc was the backbone and it was marvelous! I just want to see her grow so much, besides all the new crow content! 😁😁

Good video and good points! I also hope they don't destroy Nikolai's character, because he was my favorite in the original book trilogy. And also in his own books, although I have yet to finish the last one. In the books, I did find Alina a bit boring and Mal extremely annoying. Darkling was interesting villain, but an a**hole, so Nikolai quickly became my favorite book character. So I'm glad that they are giving Alina more agency, but hopefully not on the expense of other characters. I theorize that Nikolai might at first pretend that he only helps Alina because money, but actually does it for Ravka. I'm also little worried about how they are going to utilize the Crows. Since apparently they don't start their book storylines yet, or at least it seems so at the moment. I hope they use them as well as they did last season. They fitted so well in last season's storyline, so hopefully they can pull that of again. P.S I love how you drew Kaz and his eyebrows 😂❤️

I also loved that Nikolai was so gray and his growth until the end of Grishaverse is amazing! 🤩 Agreed, now on the second read, I can barely get through the actionless parts of Siege and Storm and Shadow and Bone, at the little palace, and I'm actually glad they are putting both last books into one season - there was a lot of material that could easily be cut out. The Darkling was disgusting since book 2 onwards, it's hard to even understand Darklina as a concept. This is one way in which they could keep Nikolai's complexity, I'm hoping for the best! As for the crows, I'm worried too, now that some new material is out. On the one hand they sound amazingly book-accurate, on the other, I have to wonder about Kaz's arc, but that is a discussion for another video... hope they leave the SoC material intact for later! And thank you so much - Kaz is a lot of fun to draw! 😁

@@aranystudio Oh, they are putting Alina's last two books in the same season? I have kind of stayed away most of the news, because I like going in blind, even though I have read the books😂 But I kind of like the idea, because yeah, Alina's books were occasionally bit boring. But if that's the case, I hope this season is longer than 8 episodes, or it could become too rushed and packed. But it could definitely work, if done right. I can't wait and see!

​@@existentialdread2054 Yes, as far as we can tell they'll include both Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising material in this season, as well as something from the Lives of Saints and loads of new crow content, but their backstories as well. It appears that the season will be amazing, but we'll just have to wait and see. It's still just 8 episodes though... we also wonder how they're cramming everything in 😭
