Karthus is a Deathsinger. He simply collects souls for Death. Basically, he works under Kindred who is the personification of Death I think all 5 Darkin are associated with a certain notion, like the 4 horsemen of apocalypse are. Rhaast mentions he is Death and I think Aatrox is War or something.

It's really cool how you have to pick one or the other, because it really makes you realize how good they are together. I can't get enough of these two, I think Riot almost did a better job with the 'two champions, one model' fantasy with these guys than they did with Kindred. This is the first champion that actually tells a story as you play, this is honestly amazing for that fact alone. One thing that's kind of sad about this kind of game is there's not a lot of room for creative narrative storytelling, but this champion lets you DECIDE their story as you play, and it's such a cool idea. I love the depth this adds to Zed, I love their relationship, there's so much to enjoy with this champion release, I think it's honestly one of Riot's best in terms of lore and character development. I want to play him just so I can spend time with the characters. I'm in love! Take my money, Riot! Just take it!

If his weapon was a Darkin then he'd have a different colour scheme and wouldnt have retained any of his memory or personaility (or lack thereof.) Varus is likely corrupted by something from the Void, rather than a Darkin.

I've played a lot of Kayn, but I'm not sure whether this is only shadow assassin Kayn or both regular Kayn and shadow assassin Kayn, since I've only heard it once in shadow assassin Kayn voice. But it's when you shadow step through a wall, and it was when I was chasing after an enemy (Don't know which kind or who, if that makes any difference) but Kayn would say "I'm Coming....." and he would elongate the "coming".

The last horseman (without including the 5 one that is not from the bible but could be implemented as an extra like the third Zorya sister in American Gods) it would be a support I think since becasue if Aatrox is War and Rhaast is Death, And if Varus is confirmed as a Darkin it would be conquest or pestilence since it holds a Bow the fourth would be Famine which holds a Weighing Scale
