Kassadin's lore is like-- his daughter was taken by the Void in Icathia, and that's why Kassadin went in and got corrupted or whatever.

CaptainSlap Kassadin went into the void to save his daughter but he failed and became what he is now. He believed that she was dead but now we find out that not only did she somehow survive in the Void but she got out somewhere in Noxus. Maybe she aged and will become a new champion "the void huntress" or something.

The lore about his "daughter's return" is a reference to Rek'Sai, actually. Kassadin's daughter was lost to the Void. Awhile back, Riot stated that they were planning on bringing Kassadin's daughter into the game. Low and behold, we get Rek'Sai, which Riot made a deliberate point of specifying the gender on: Female. Kassadin's daughter wasn't just lost, she got turned into a fuckign Voidling. I feel sorry for the poor guy.

The problem with this is that mortekaiser and kindred are nowhere near each other in power levels. Morte might be a “ruler” of death but he doesnt compare to kindred. Kindred is a god of death in the literal sense and morte is just some really strong guy thats ruling over a not-so-death realm
