This would be perfect for us. We are on our second adopted retired military dog. Both were bomb detection dogs and nothing comes into the house without being sniffed to death....lol. People get the same treatment. Glad Molly is better, love that she is on the card.

I LOVE Anita Jeram designs. The cats and dogs are always so sweet! Add in the mice and birds and it "just don't get no better than that" (lol)!!! Many of Anita's drawings reflect true to life antics of the dogs and cats in our home! I laugh every time I see her cats dressed up! As kids growing up, we dressed our cat in baby clothes!! The dog in this scene is way too fun! The "texture" looks great! I think you're spot on using paste around the window to replicate a snowy look. Instead of white ink on the acetate, MAYBE white embossing powder???? I love the card. So sweet!

So sweet. Ranger makes a Frosted Crystal embossing powder that should work instead of having to use pigment ink on the acetate to get a frosted glass look.

I think you can use Tim’s translucent snowfall paste on the acetate for an icy window look.

Molly is so cute!!! I should try to color Frosty. He is a blue Merle Australian Shephard but his coat is longer than Molly’s but still variegated. Frosty is totally amused by their barking so keep it up girls. No deliveries today so he has no reason to bark!

Use the Tim holts snow texture paste for the frosted glass. It dries permanent and doesn’t take too long to dry. It won’t dry white but you could mix some white pigment ink to it. I have also added color to it with Mica sprays.

WOW, I really love this card - and I don’t even really enjoy coloring. It’s just such a cute scene Kelly. As for a permanent frosty window edge, you have to use something like StayzOn for the acetate. The pigment ink might be okay since it’s inside, but after you put it into an envelope, it is likely to smudge. I really, really like the more desaturated colors that you have been using lately. Thanks for such amazing inspiration.

Unfortunately the white ink you used won’t fully dry on acetate. The only thing that will dry that’s not heat embossed is white Stazon. It’s a beautiful card and anyone would be lucky to receive it.

Cover the white pigment ink with clear embossing powder and heat. It will “dry” in no time. 😁

For the last few days I’ve spent most of the day listening to a woman I believe was raped give testimony in court because her alleged attacker is suing a media station for defamation for publishing an article that did not even name him as the perpetrator. I stopped listening a little while ago because the plaintiff’s lawyer is cross examining the woman and it’s just literally nauseating. THANK YOU FOR THIS. I needed this.

That might sound weird but the alleged rape was in parliament house, elected members of govt lied about what happened and when they knew, the police told her they were going to prevent it being discussed in senate estimates, the director of public prosecutions who prosecuted the alleged rapist was then hounded until he resigned, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. So watching your video with Silkie, my dog, and musing about how black dogs are considered more scary than brindle, and how when Silkie barks she really scares people. Not that she’s really barked since we moved house, but when she barks it’s gutteral. She sounds at least twice as big and a zillion times more vicious than she is. It’s hilarious. And your dogs barking is NOTHING on Silkie! Thanks, I needed this “mental health break”.
