Interesting fact about romance scenes: the scenes in ME1 were considered controversially spicy when the game came out in 2007 and it made national media about games being too mature for the youth. This led to massively nerfed scenes in ME2 and 3. EA didnt want the controversy.

@@andyh4464 honestly, I’m ok with it not being as graphic. When I saw that scene in ME1 I was SHOCKED. It doesn’t bother me either way, but I can see why they might want to make it a bit more kid friendly

Still one of the or _the_ best mission of the game, especially if you romanced Liara. Even more so originally, because the Shadow Broker DLC wasn't included at release and it was a great addon. Also nice that you got that paragon action after the fight... I see so many streamers who miss that one... it's on a really short interval. Gratz. ;-)

I was ready for any and all paragon actions with her… plus the feelings that hit when they started playing that mass effect 1 music 😭😭 I can’t believe this was in dlc. I would’ve lost it if I didn’t get to be with liara immediately in this one

Nice to see Liara again. I think she hoped Cerberus might be able to save you somehow, but it was a desperate hope. I’m not sure what she thought their chances of success were(likely the more time that passed, the more it seemed she just couldn’t let go). All the games are careful not to lock you into any romance until you’ve made it clear you’re not interested in any other relationships(they want you to know all your options before you can’t chance your mind. There’s ALOT more options for romance in 2 & 3 then the first Mass Effect. Tip for any ledge that looks like you can climb it. If an area is accessible, then you need to go into cover first before vaulting over the cover. Also of note, while lots have mentioned the extra damage rapid fire weapons do to shields and slow fire guns do to armor, we’ve all neglected to mention that the opposite is also true(slow fire does half their normal damage on shields, and rapid fire rounds bounce off heavy armor for half the normal damage). Assault rifles(if you can equip them) and shotguns I believe are the only non heavy weapons to work equally on all defensive layers without penalties(although I think some of the various shotguns have different effectiveness if you read the details(M-22 & 300 are equal damage. The rest, M-23, 27, an Geth, get a bigger bonus for barriers/shields and none for armor). And they all do 100% more damage at melee range. What’s that old saying. Easy to grasp the basics, difficult to master? Applies to Mass Effect series. There’s a lot of depth to the combat you pick up on over time.(I try to only sprinkle a bit here and there, it sticks a bit better…at least it did for myself way back whenever. And it’s easy for us fans to get carried away. I could type a whole novel if I didn’t catch myself).

Assault Rifles, Snipers and Shotguns all do the same damage to all health types, SMGs and Pistols are the only ones which vary according to the Wiki. At least the basic versions of these weapons, as u mentioned specific ones do have bonuses to different Health types like I think the Collector AR does bonus shield damage. However Shotguns and ARs do suffer damage fall off but Snipers do not.

I hope it doesn’t bother bc I did read every word. Then I get to playing and it goes right back out the other ear lmao. I’ll try again to remember all of this next time. Ah, the "gun in my face" glitch with Conrad. ME1's save files had a glitch where using the Charm option on him got saved as Intimidate, so he always claims you took the Intimidate option. Confused the hell out of all of us Paragon players when ME2 came out, even though the bug was actually in ME1.

Anyone else think Liara cheated on Shepard with Feron? How happy she was when she saw that he was still alive. And in the name of saving Feron, she didn't even turn to check on Shephard who just fell out a window. Garrus and Grunt showed more concern for Shephard than she did. And other characters you choose to take would show even more concern than they did. Liara showed none, which is why Shepard called her out. She just ran after Vasir. She was willing to risk everyone to save Feron. Just saying. FYI: remember to feed your fish after every mission. If you remain nice enough to Kelly, she will eventually feed them for you. But Fish in ME 2 very easily die if you forget to feed them between missions. And you can buy more/different fish at the Citadel. And don't forget to turn on special ammo for your shotgun and sub machine gun... whenever you fist use the weapon during a new mission.

@@teejay_live There are three different fish you can buy in ME 2, and another pet. Mostly on the citadel, and the one type of fish on illium. The affair is never proven, so you can choose to trust her, that she and Feron are "just friends." I just found her a bit too cold towards Shepard during most of the mission. And I found it suspect that she chose to stay with Faren at the Shadow Broker Base. Maybe it was just the voice actress that made me not trust her. I don't know why they didn't use the face model, Jillian Murray, to also be the voice actress, since she has proven to be a decent actress, still working on tv (Code Black) and in B movies.

Glad you’re finally getting used to the combat and directing your Squad’s powers, it makes fights a lot easier. Pull, Throw and Singularity do chip damage to barriers, shields and armour but not a lot, better to use damage powers like Warp, Reave, Overload, Incinerate, and Energy Drain when available Warp and Reave do huge damage to barriers and armour Overload and Energy Drain do huge damage to shields and robots Incinerate and Inferno Grenade do huge damage to armour Gun wise Pistols do bonus to armour but reduced to barrier/shield, SMGs do bonus to barrier/shield and reduced to armour Kasumi is really useful to bring cuz she has Overload, her Shadow Strike does huge damage and can distract enemies, and her Flashbang jams enemy guns and powers in a large radius unless the enemy is resistant to the effect Concussive Shot does good damage to barrier.

It's still not too late to give up on Liara. Tali makes a nice romance partner as well (and you get to see her face). It's a tough choice between the two.
