Well what he's doing is not quite the same but the OLD Pultec's you could Boost & Cut the Same Feq, you have to see & hear it. But they have Plugins that emulate it Ozone 7 Vintage EQ is based on The Pultec EQ. Ozone 7 is a Great deal once you figure all the modules you get that can be used as a Mastering tool or plugins on individual trx if you add up what it would cost by the Plug in versions of Analog Tape Mach Studer Pultech EQ & The Fairchild Compressor / Shadowhills , along w/the IRC 1-4 the Dynamic Eq is amazing. I think you would pay much more for just those plug in's Not counting what else Ozone can do. Look up Pultec explained or The Ozone Vintage compressor Explained.

I've made a bumpy 2-step mix of this, but my acapella is a phase-inverted mess. Shadow Child, I really need these stems.

The only problem with your second dub is you could have brought back that arpeggiator after that long ass buildup to maintain that feeling of the sun coming up at 5am in the club. Just a thought.

Please Please answer this. I just want to start making beats and my own music. I have a mac pro what software would be good for me to start and get a hang of? do i need decks etc?
@danielpedersen1688

u need decks if u want to start dj'ing, dj decks and music software are 2 different things. The music software is to make music, the dj decks are to put the music u make on ur mac onto the dj decks and play it out live at your gig(s). I highly suggest ableton because of its workflow, its such an easy program to learn. Reason is great too with all the cabling its like a real life studio but all on a laptop. I use Logic, Reason, ProTools & Ableton. I suggest u start with one or 2 first then see which one u like best then stick to that, dont do too much at once will be too confusing!. Cheers, Daniel

+Daniel Pedersen okay mate. I will download a couple of them programmes maybe ableton. Any idea a good set of first decks to get? Fairly decent price to? My main influences are like shadow child and hot creations type music and I just want to slowly get my way into making beats like my influences. Thank you so much

okay in terms of djing it depends, are u gonna use usb, CD's or laptop. For at home i would say a dj controller is good to start of with not too expensive and its portable can bring it wherever u want. only costs couple of hundreds dollars, browse around first then see what's ur budget. Decent price is $600
@GangstaKul
@GangstaKul 8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Pedersen well I've got my Mac Pro so probably either usb or the laptop right. Also the beats that like Patrick topping makes my main influence is there any particular programme to download or can any do them deep bass beats like he creates. Regarding decks bro what do you recommend ? Just throw me some ideas so I can have a look man. I can save up a few hundred any ways! I sound like such a novice but I'm really keen on making music man. Thanks

All the music softwares can do basically the same things or have the same things. All of them have samplers all of them have synths, i can't tell u what's better or worse its all personal preference, so try first see what's best for u then go from there. Downloading sample packs help a lot too get's me inspiration all the time cuz i make house music as well. ok as far as dj controller's go here are some examples/brands: 1. Pionner - Very expensive probably in the thousands but from what i see on the reviews is that theyre really good built quality 2. Reloop - A bit cheaper around the $600 range could be more could be less depending on which one ur going for but if ur on a tight budget want a decent price and very durable good quality get Reloop. 3. Numark - Very basic controller it would be recommended for if u want a really small and light mixer that ur able to carry around. 4. Vestax - Similar to Numark differences arent substantial but still a bit higher than the Numark Range 5. Traktor S2/S4 - both really good basically same only difference is as u can tell S2 has 2 faders S4 has 4 faders. 4 faders is good if u wanna use 4 decks on traktor for like triggering samples, remixing so on the spot when u DJ out to a crowd, S2 is more used if u just want basic transitions in and out of tracks and do mashups live
