I feel like Shadow needed this, the emotion was on point and realistic! When Shadow didn't kill the man, it proved that Shadow is not a monster, just a cool Antihero with a terrible past of humans. Also for the end part: Me: 'Don't worry Shadow, you didn't fail Maria, of anything she would be glad to know she didn't risk her life for a monster, and that you are keeping the promise."

Though he was just following orders from G.U.N. to eradicate everyone on board who knew about Project Shadow, I don't imagine he slept well at night. Don't get me wrong, he's still the one who pulled the trigger, but the leaders of G.U.N. at that time are the ones truly responsible for Maria's death. Which is why Shadow working for them rubs some Shadow fans the wrong way.

This reminds me of the scene from Kartra from Avatar confront her mothers killer when she also wants to get revage on the man that's kills her, she gonna kill him but she stops herself, knowing killing him won't bring her mother back so she show him mercy and forgiveness , looks like Shadow did the same thing, he wants to kill this man for killing Maria , he knows this won't bring Maria back, the man felt guilty for what he done , Shadow was gonna kill someone who's drinking his life away , just like Kartra Shadow shows him mercy and walk away unfortunately the man decided to finish the job and off himself, this truly amazing story, a job well done! 👏👏👏
