"Cougar" and "mountain lion" are different terms for the same animal. It's also called a catamount or puma. Same exact animal.

It's crazy how I have lived out there since 1988 and this is the first time I have heard about this. If word gets around this event could be solar Eclipse like gathering of people and boom to the local economy. People just gathered at Yosemite to see the fire falls a few days ago.
