This is incredible! I’m absolutely hooked on the deathcore/black metal infusion and absolutely love this song; I prefer the “opera/orchestra” sound over breakdowns or melodic riffs these days and this was exactly what I was hoping for their new material to sound like. New Shadow of Intent AND Brand of Sacrifice this year: it’s a great year for metal.

I’m not a black metal specialist, and have been appreciating black metal elements a lot for the past couple of years; Ben has stated in an interview a while back that their guitarist brought those elements to the band and since then you’re seeing it a lot now with other bands. Chris has an incredible way of writing melodies that Ben is able to perfectly mingle with his lyrical placement and cadence. His vocal content isn't the focal point which is amazing, especially in deathcore, and he is almost more like a percussive instrument adding more sustain to the music itself.

Honestly only started listening to some SOI songs because of Currents and Wiseman, but damn this is some good shit Giving me very Dimmu Borgir vibes instrumentally, and the vocals remind me of so many other melodic death metal bands like Amon Amarth Who knew this is something I'd get behind so heavily, this is amazing

I've been a metal head for 39 goin on 40 years....and I've been exposed to a band within the last 2 to 3 months named Lorna Shore and they have completely blown my mind. The amount of talent within these guys is unreal. Through Lorna Shore I got turned on to Shadow Of Intent and these are some more super talented musicians and I really fuckin dig they're music. I hope to hear alot more from Shadow Of Intent real soon. In closing I'll say the only thing that cud outrank that is new music from Lorna Shore.

@@jackc9175 I mean if that’s what you hear that’s what you hear, I always hear a little bit of death metal in deathcore. Sometimes more than others. With this song, yes, the death metal vein is much stronger than your average deathcore tune here, but it’s still deathcore to me.
