Yeah, it is an exiled land, maybe it was cursed, but not much living thing are supposed to be able to live there, the few animals you see are kinda exceptions. That is why the endings, showing that there is a sanctuary on top of the tower signifies that both of their life (+ 1 horse) will indeed able to continue in the land of exile.

Yeah I definitely agree with you there. I remember playing this game all the time when I was in middle school only half a decade ago on the PS3. I know it's just upscaling the PS4 remake to work with the PS5 and its hardware, but this looks so damn good. It's crazy to think that this was originally a PS2 game and even then, it was pushing the limits of the hardware.

@@Mohgenstein I didn't like Breath of the Wild at all. It felt empty and unimaginative. The powers in Tears of the Kingdom are insanely fun, but ultimately it did feel even more repetitive than an Ubisoft game. At least in those there is player progression and maybe a skill tree that gives you new abilities. Tears of the Kingdom really is the same thing over and over again, even if the level design has moments of interest. A big problem is the puzzles. At first they seem wide open because the powers are so freeing, but ultimately they are busy work. "Get across this gap. There is a hook, a suspended cable, and some planks provided." It's obvious what you need to do, and it's busy work to do it. So it's not actually a puzzle even if it resembles one at first. That said I may go back to Tears of the Kingdom someday because it does have a terrific feeling of liberty and mobility. Breath of the Wild feels so slow, static, uninteresting. It's so hard to get vertical in that game, in particular.

This game made me split in half. A part of me thinks love really makes you blind and make you do the most stupid things regarding of consequences. So much death over one person, but on the other hand from death comes life. Would be a bit ironic if the girl ends up being the queen in Ico. He said that she had a bad fate in store. Then again, had she not been sacrificed none of this would have happend. I played this in 2006, and only once. It has been with me since then, and this is the first time I watched the game of the re-mastered version. I even remembered some of the colossae, thats how impactful it was for me to play it. But the story is bittersweet at best and very tragic at worst.

I remember when this game first came out way back in 2005, and I paid like $50 for it right away. One of the best game purchases of my life as I absolutely loved the game. Even though it is remastered on the PS5 (which looks beautiful btw), I seriously doubt it will re-create that special feeling the first time I played this game. But if I do decide to get a PS5 one day, I might as well get it!

I felt this guys pain when Agro was acting up in the wooded area. I hated that spot in 2005, and I hated it vicariously through this player 20 years later. I didn't even find out about that little cave until just now, partly because this area was so hard to navigate on a CRT TV with a PS2. You can play this game thousands of times and still find new details like that.

It's a testament to the original artists from back in the mid 2000's that the difference in texture art quality is almost miniscule in these high res upgrades. Sure there is better texturing and fur effects but to play the original you can see the depth they went to to create something of the highest quality. I would like to add I think it's wonderful that a game like this gets continued upgrades with each console release. It shows the love from devs and fans alike.
