@@mikematei Shadow of the Ninja Reborn, I saw the trailer on YT which coincidentally made your video pop up on my timeline (you know, the algorithm). It's made by the same dudes who remade the other natsume games (Wild Guns Relodead, Ninja Warriors and Pocky and Rocky -the best one imo-). I find it really cool that afaik the development team is comprised of three core members of the original staff. It really shows in the quality: so far all the remakes look like they REALLY cared as opposed to Nintendo putting 3 Mario roms on a Switch cart and calling it a day.

They probably wanted a name that would remind people of movies like Enter the Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja, American Ninja, etc. but everything else was taken. Or maybe they were thinking that the enemies of the ninja are living in fear, and that fear is like a huge shadow that the ninja is casting over them.

I understand editing the James & Mike Mondays videos was a lot of work editing them, but is it possible for you both to meet up once a month or couple months to stream together on twitch? I think people miss you two interacting with one another and fans feeling like they miss hanging out with two old friends.
@mikematei Жыл бұрын
We did over 300 episodes of that. I still do videos with James from time to time. I plan to do lets plays with him here and there but not on a schedule. I did Cinemassacre for 15 plus years. Its great, but its not my goal to do that for the rest my my life. I have made my own thing over on twitch and I will be mainly doing that. I understand and appreciate that fans want more of that, but I need to do what I want as well. And I like doing my own streams. That said, I will do some videos with him here and there because thats fun too. Im just not doing it as often as we once did.
@Mumraw_ Жыл бұрын
@@mikematei I can understand that too. Gotta do what makes you happy first and foremost. When you put it that way it makes a lot of sense. Its work in itself just to hang out with friends as an adult these days with family and planning out schedules. Thanks for the reply, Mike. Always look forward to watching you play games on twitch.

Mike compiled two streams of this game. Luckily, I was there when he finally beat it. I guess as far as ninja games on the NES go, this places in a solid second place behind the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. It appears at least to be vastly better than Wrath Of The Black Manta and The Last Ninja. I think the weirdest choice is that you have to take down the "armor" of the boss first before actually dealing any damage. As I am sure Mike experienced in the game especially with the last boss, it appears that you do not damage him and makes you wonder whether you are even hitting him. That's not really a good game design choice. You can have the armor but at least do something indicating that you are damaging the armor of the boss so that you won't be second-guessing yourself whether you are doing it right. I need to check that stream again but wasn't Journey To Silius another game that didn't show you how many lives you had or even continues and you had to keep track yourself how many lives/rests/continues you still had?

What are your thoughts on the zelda game
@Denjired Жыл бұрын
@@mikematei Just like when I watched my nephew and brother play Breath Of The Wild on their Switch, your stream of Tears Of The Kingdom did not do anything to make me particularly interested in this game. I guess weapons breaking, a gazillion shrines with hardly any enemies instead of long dungeons, cooking, taking pictures and now doing Minecraft is not what I personally want when playing a Zelda game. Currently playing the HD remake of Skyward Sword on the Switch. Despite the dungeons being rather short so far, that game feels more like a Zelda game to me and I have more fun with that. Maybe some day I will borrow BotW from my brother and test it out but for now I am happy with Skyward Sword and making my first splash into the world of Zelda 1 hacks.

I'm gonna be "that guy" again, but the only reason humans in Star Trek aren't immortal is because genetic manipulation and engineering is banned, due to Khan and his predecessors. It was really just a means of the writer/s getting rid of the immortality problem, which would inevitably lead to "Why have kids if I'm gonna live forever anyway? Why visit the stars with such reckless disregard? We can take our time, plan extremely thoroughly for years before visiting even a single unexplored system."
