Looks really interesting, at least conceptually. I think historical fantasy, or at least fantasy inspired by a historical period/culture, is underrepresented in general Kudos for highlighting the game, they probably need it, was interested when saw it on Owclat twitter. Almost certainly going to try when releases, party RPG published by Owlcat...gotta play 100% ;)

As much as it feels like steampunk has been too overdone in order to explain away sci-fi elements in anachronistic fantasy settings but this does look really cool. Could be like an Expeditions: Rome except more fantastical. Great video!

Absolutely cannot wait for this. For anyone with interest in asian cultural influences in a game in general, things can be a bit unimaginative. In Japan Its either completely unmoored from reality or in America its supreme accuracy (or...ahem.. purported accuracy). Of course, no western medievel fantasy is accurate at all as any historian will tell you, from how armor is used to the effectiveness of weapons...and depending on the game, we really dont care that much. So we accept to an extent the straddling of that line to be entertained. My point is, sometimes it takes being outside of cultural expectations to do something new and imaginitive. Like a Japanese manga artist coming up with Berserk.

Yeah, I'm very interested in this one, myself. Alt history/historical fantasy (meaning historical setting with high fantasy elements) always piques my interest. Have you looked into "New Arc Line" at all, S&S? That's another promising looking one, with lots of "Arcanum" vibes to it.

I am always disappointed when a game looks this good, with this kind of pedigree, with this much interesting stuff and an intriguing setting, but ends up being a *turn based combat system.* It sucks for me because TB systems are like Ambien :P EDIT (and test of autodelete): But I appreciate you covering this, because my friends at least will be interested in it, and I can pass it along.

I’m intrigued, but as a history nerd and all around weeb, I tend to dislike western made games set in Japan. They tend to get cultural and architectural things completely wrong so that even if the gameplay is great my immersion is constantly disrupted. Ghost of Tsushima is the only western developed game that got it right, even if it is a bit anachronistic.
