My dad played this song on his organ incessantly throughout my childhood. We lost my dad 2 days ago,on Christmas... this is the first time I've ever heard the lyrics... I'm sobbing. I can't stop listening. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I'm going to try to sing it at his memorial. I'm not great.. but he would have loved it 💔

I saw your tribute to you dad… I still have my own tears from watching it… a beautiful song… and I’m sure you’re a beautiful woman … I could tell he was so proud of you … as I am so proud of my daughters! You should watch the movie “The Sandpiper” . This song was the main theme of the movie, which starred none other than Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. My favorite version of this song is by Johnny Mandel, although all the great singers of the 60’s recorded their own version, Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Andy Williams. Tony Bennett’s version is great too. You can hear the extraordinary range of his voice with his magnificent vocalization.
