I loved playing my Shadow Priest, the mechanics and gameplay is so much fun. . The reason why I stopped is due to every single guild I was in requiring me to respec so I can heal. So after the fourth guild I joined told me to respec out of shadow to heal in raids I said fuck it, rerolled a Mage. All because I am playing a class that can heal does not mean I want to all the time, and I don't want to be forced to heal all the time. Don't get me wrong I don't mind taking one for the team once in awhile and heal, but every single fucking raid " Can you switch to Disc again for this raid we are doing tomorrow night? we need heals" My response after awhile goes something like this... "FUCK OFF! I want to play my SP once in awhile." I guarantee you that one of the reasons why more people don't roll Priest is due to guilds forcing them out of the spec they enjoy, in this case Shadow just to heal in raids.

Just started the video and I have to say it was very surprising hearing you say that Vamp Embrace's healing is "atrocious" now but I guess you're right from a PvE point of view. It's funny cause up till now, (meaning in WoD) Vamp Embrace is more or less a waste of a globlal in PvP (and then it's a 3 min cooldown). But in Legion man is it strong! I just thought that was interesting. Now on with the show! :D

Paladin and Priest are my 2 favorite classes. I've loved Priest since Nilla. it was actually the very first toon that got me into WoW. I saw my buddys dads Main capped at 60 and fell in love with the class. great video man. awesome intro too haha

The thing you mention about being abel to avoid the certain death from surrender to madness sounds truly interesting but if it gets added some limitaions should be put on it for example as you press the StM ( surrender to madness ) button you also place a dot on your target, that dot does 0 dmg and just marks the target as a thing you need to kill before you die to survive. After the selected target dies you will survive but your StM will end and go on Cd.a way so people wont just pop StM att the start of fights then just kill some random add to avoid the death penelty. And if they put the StM dot on some weak ass add thats gona die the StM probly wont last more then 30s before it just ends resulting in a complet waste of a cd. att least thats the idea i got when you mention it. Anyways great video and thanks and plz continue your great work.

You can cast mind seer on your tank (who will be in the middle of all the mobs) and it will do the same damage to the enemies around him, and not get canceled due to your target dying. really helpful.

shadow apparitions won't cap out that much because of how the scaling works. In scaled up 895 full crit gear you had around ~29% Crit during mythic testing. For Voidform Uptime, Mind Spike/no talent is around 61-62% VF uptime, LoTV is around 66% VF uptime, STM is the only thing that is actually a damage increase.

Always nice to see a good spellcaster. I am looking forward to frost mage, although seeing the constant nerfs on alpha I fear for the Arcane spec. I was hoping that I would be playing something other than frost this time around, but at least it is a haste spec again. I enjoy a faster play style than the pseudo-crit multistrike that came with WoD.

Heya preach, I did some calculations on Mind Spike vs Mindflay, for Spikes to become better you need to cast more than 3 of them before detonation to become better than 1 Mind Flay, with that said, Mind Spike does become your go to against your typical "Patchwerk" fight. Where Legacy of the void is for a more go to "Multidotting" fight. Where you can get in faster and get the good haste buffs. Regarding lvl 75 talents I am really exited on what to take. I feel with the current PvP talents "Sha'layn" is gonna be good in PvP. I do feel that it is overshadowed by the dull explanation over talents that were once great like AS and Shadowy Insight. But I do feel that Shadowy insight is still the weaker of the 3. (My Opinion)

Dispersion isn't as bad as this guy says, trust me. Dispersion is one of the best spells in their kit right now. 60% damage reduction can be huge, and with the new Honor system you can boost that by 35%. The best part about it though, is that while dispersed, your insanity does not drain, even in void form. Pop it while your Mindbender is up and there is some free Insanity (just like Void Torrent strat, you just can't do damage while charging)

Mind spike is probably for pvp. Could be good in god-comp. Get 10 stacks pop void-form, burst inc.

An idea to improve the last tier of Shadow Priest. Make Legacy of the Void a toggled abillity, cost X insanity a second, and read "You may now move while casting Mind Flay, Mind Blast, and Shadow Word: Void. This abiilty is off the gloabl cooldown." Basically an expensive Ice Floes, it allows Shadow Priests to participate in heavy movement fights, without having to take an ability that kills them. Also, it's sad to see Mind Flay (THE iconic Shadow Priest spell) not be an important part of the rotation. Blizz can make the Void Ray talent increase insanity generation as well as damage.

Am i the only one who feels that this lingering insanity mechanism looks like the Archon wizard in diablo 3 ? Let me show you: In diablo 3(WoW) you get stacks of archon(Lingering Insanity) while in archon form(Void Form) and it sticks with you for a time after you leave archon form(Void Form). If you have a certain item(Talent), you will keep the stacks from the last archon form(Void Form) to the next one for a couple of seconds(8sec). In this time window, you become super powerful.

Voidform reminds me of the Vyr's Archon wizard build in d3. Voidform = Archon Haste stacks lasting after voidform ends = The Swami Now we just need a set bonus that lets us overlap stacks

The shadow priest in WoD has a difficult rotation/ talent spec with low dps in compare with other classes (such as a mm hunter) when you was up gearing your gear to 730 or higher until you get your class trinket RoW. How is it in Legion with the new features of the shadow priest, is it still the same or is it easier to get a higher dps when you are up gearing your gear to the best item in slot? +Cornbread As a spriest main I'm honestly not super thrilled about the changes and I'm considering going lock for Legion. It reminds me too much of demo and demo is always the one lock spec I hated and just couldn't stand to play. If it indeed feels like live demo I likely won't play my spriest often. I don't really mind being in shadow form all the time my biggest issue with that change is the tentacles. Ugh I hate how they look lol I want my ravens or orbs at the very least. I'm glad they're making use of dots again because with current CoP, class trinket, and tier you just don't even dot anymore and I miss that because that was shadow. I'm finding most people that are really excited about shadow are people that have never really mained it. There are a few who main it and still plan to in Legion but I'm not sure if they're as excited or kind of meh about it like I am.
