I have been testing a little bit now with Talents. And I am pretty much set on the „Base ME“-Build, but I am not sure regarding Mastermind vs Screams of the Void and Maddening Touch vs Dark Evangelism vs Mind Devourer vs Phantasmal Pathogen. MT + MD feels awful cause I feel constantly capped on Insanity. But without both of them the opposite seems to happen and I do no real Devouring Plague dmg. So the combinations that I came up with was MD + PP for even more priority dmg and MD + DE is basically dealing the opposite. I am relatively new to Shadow Priest and would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this. I currently am in the +20-22 key range and am looking forward to getting higher in the keys with more gear and better gameplay ^^

If I am missing something I apologize in advance but even on the guide page, is there a way you can put the links to the builds? like the ones you export out of the talent calculator? I am looking I see yuo saying take this or that but nothing where I can see it like on a talent tree import. i am re learning shadow priest so this might be helpful

How is this impacted by your stat distribution? DR will give you way more uptime on your mastery bonus than ME will, but with Void Eruption, your full bonus is always applied. Does that make mastery more valuable in a priority target build? As you have shown in videos for higher keys, Vers is preferred over Crit because of the damage mitigation component - how does this impact our stat distribution when considering DR vs ME?

It kind of depends on your gear. With full geared out char you still get near full uptime on DP with ME if played correctly, so I haven’t seen a shift in secondaries with these builds that’s significant

With ME DA build do you still put the 2 pts into mind devourer over the increased VT damage?

Generally speaking with Mind's Eye you will shift points out of Mind Devourer and into Maddening Touch instead. Can still run MD if you prefer though

ty a lot for the "relief' vid. I'm hating dr so much cuz u have to spread targets and that's hard not to lose ones with dp for focus and not send a 12 sec dp into a small add nearly dead. gonna try me for sure, I think really ingame people with like 70-80% log skill can do even more aoe with me than dr just of easier gameplay.

For a high health focus target, try just using the /focus command (or make that a macro) to make it easy to re-find them in a big pack. To avoid wasting any DP uptime, aim to be running on empty insanity when you think the pack is about 15 seconds from dead, just dump it all and whatever you built in the next ten seconds is for the next pull. And of course when just spreading around with a healthy pack, the trick is to tab targets when you're about to cast plague each time. Like tab, plague, continue dpsing with mind blast/whatever until you have enough for a new DP, tab, then cast it, continue etc. Much easier on the brain.

get a plater script to change nameplate color to "x' when you have VT+swp on a target, and change color to "y" for targets that have VT+swp+DP and youll never have an issue again.
