Well the thing is, Sonic turned yellow and his spines changed form in front of the entirety of station square. I'm pretty sure it's not unreasonable for people to see Shadow, moving at the same speed as Sonic, and think "That's a new form of Sonic"

They should make Terios his own character. I had this idea where he would be Eggmans ultimate creation. Inspired by his grandfather Eggman would try to create his own take on the ultimate lifeform. Hidden away in a secret facility deep in outer space somewhere, after years of constant failure to produce results, he would finally create succeed in creating Terios as a counter to Sonic and Shadow. I think it would be a cool idea

Could be buuuut it’d be another hedgehog character and we know how underutilized the other hedgehogs (Shadow, Silver and Amy) are. Then there would be the question of if he’d even stay loyal to Eggman or join the main group. I think it’s a good idea but it has to be done correctly and not just for the sake of adding in another hedgehog.

Personally I think that Terios was a prototype between the Biolizard and Shadow. I also imagine that he would have some sort of jealously against Shadow for meeting Maria instead of him.

@@AlmightyKing143 they have been slowly working at least Shadow and Amy in. Amy's now part of the main group and Shadow has his own "Bowser's Fury" kind of add on to a game. But really before they make another hedgehog I'd like to see Silver get some more love first.

Terios the TENREC. Well he might be a hedgehog here. Actually, the name Terios a scrapped name. That was a scrapped design. And him being a tenrec was scrapped. But there’s nothing specifying they are all exclusive associated with each other. But it’s easy to just put them together now that Shadow exists. Also, I hate that people keep saying it makes more sense for that design to fit the plot than Shadow’s final design after fans literally thought Shadow was some dark Super Sonic or evil Sonic back in the day. LOL

I be honest, when I was small, my first time seeing Shadow was from a flyer that has the cover of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. My first instinct of seeing Shadow next to Sonic is 'evil Sonic?' The confusion is techically still reasonable at the time since Shadow was still new during the early 2000s

They mistook Shadow for Sonic because Shadow is black-colored and it is night time and there's only one hedgehog everyone knows of that moves really fast and has anything to do with Chaos Emeralds. Also everyone in Station Square saw that Sonic can transform in the fight against Chaos, so it's also fair to think that Shadow could be a new transformation for Sonic

Yes, Terios looks like Sonic, with a big scar on one eye and spikes like Knuckles and Amy Rose! The final version of Shadow looks more like Sonic! It's only if you color them both black that you'll realize they're similar, especially if it's Super Sonic instead of Sonic. For me, saying that Terios is more like Sonic than Shadow is the same as saying that modern Amy Rose is more like Sonic than classic Amy Rose
