if shadow six is a manifestation of Mono's, what if he leads her to the Lady so that Six can obtain her power, come back and kill him to put an end to the weird broken spacetime. it's possible that he led her there because he knew she would follow her dark side, especially after she decided to drop him in the signal tower. honestly this kinda opens up another little pocket of theory, if Shadow Six comes from within Six herself, it's possible she sought out the Lady to obtain her power and destroy Mono, but of her own free will. Or it's possible that this was all planned by Mono and Six. what if Six dropping him wasn't a betrayal, it was their plan? Mono had to be sacrificed, (possibly again, considering time is broken), so that Six could move on to become powerful enough to destroy him once and for all. ohhhhh hold up, cause if Shadow Six is another version OF Six, maybe she realized she couldn't face the Thin Man as she was, and again, that's why she went to the Maw to obtain the Lady's power.

The multiverse theory is pretty dope ngl, I’m just wondering how, if we go with this, she got to those high up places, like how tf did she get on that pipe we see her on in the second hunger?why did she go there? What was the reason?! And does alt six not get the hunger? I-

maybe dark six is in those places because she took a different path through the maw? if she went through a different story than the one we played through its entirely possible that she has a different mindset and will hide in different places or explore different areas. those differences could snowball as she enounters opponents in different locations, gets caught at diffenrent times, and maybe even helps the other kids escape. it might even tie into her hunger. our six feels this gnawing starvation as a side effect of being in places their paths overlap. if this is the case dark six would likely feel something similar but maybe interperet or handle it differently. then the reason we dont see her when six eats the lady is because alt six did too, possibly taking her "visions" as a hint on how to stop it from happening.

Just wanted to add my theory on everyone after some digging. In Very Little Nightmares there is a scene where the Yellow Raincoat Girl has to get through a room where it seems to be stuffed animals tied to chairs and they’re being forced to watch tv. What if they were all actually children who were being programmed and were already lost to the signal tower and they’re not in different timelines they’re all on DIFFERENT CHANNELS and the 6 kids we’re aware of weren’t tuned in all of the way. In the beginning of Little Nightmares 2 we see Mono literally transport and fall out of a television so I think maybe he tuned into his own and that’s why Six has to leave him there. She’s literally seen it all play out. Maybe the kids are channel surfing to escape their programs?! Maybe everyone shadows are just the remnants of themselves from different channels falling in on their own past, present, and future channels

oh interesting! i like the idea that maybe each child has their own channel/timeline, i think then it makes sense we see Mono come through the TV at the beginning of LN2, we could be seeing him going from channel 1 (his channel) to channel 6, hence why there is another “him” he can interact with? even more so, maybe the signal tower is where these channels combine as their signal wld presumably come from the tower? everything’s so messed up there because it’s broadcasting all those different channels and they’re getting mixed up within the tower, where it all exists at once. i def already think the signal tower is where the different timelines converge and splinter, so the idea of the timelines being channels and therefore signals themselves make so much sense

I do not think Mono is still angry with Six. When Thinman (future Mono) captures Six he does not seem to torture her for revenge. He gives her music box to her, the only thing that seemingly gave her comfort. Maybe it is a way for future Mono to apologize to Six for destroying the box.

I'm starting to think that Shadow Six is the from the original loop. Like you said, she shows up when she's been kidnapped by the Thin Man. But what if there wasn't a Thin Man yet? I think Shadow Six wants to break the loop by changing Six into something that could.

Random thought: In the bonus scene when Six pops out of the TV before facing Shadow Six, her shadow almost looks like a nome as she stands up. Which from your previous analysis could indicate she no longer has a sense of self, or is no longer innocent. Anyway, love your videos and can't get enough of Little Nightmares lore.

Yeah. I think so too. The Nomes themselves represent children who have their souls(Youth? Identities? Maybe) taken from them by the lady. Seems like the Thin Man possibly does the exact opposite, by taking the bodies of the children(making them husks?) and leaving the glitched remains. 6, so far, seems to be an anomaly being that she escaped from the tower. Now her body and shadow self are separate, causing the Hunger in the first game. There's definitely a change that she goes through for sure between all of the games. So her shadow looking like a Nome at the end of LN2 is definitely not a coincidence.

I have a theory about the eye monster, I think that the eye monster is the signal tower’s true form; hence the eye symbol everywhere in the games. And I think the eye monster is just helping in repeating the loop. Every time mono sits on the chair and transforms the eye monster back into the signal tower, it takes a part of his power and uses it to make more things corrupted, this is why mono is able to beat the thin man, because his power wasn’t taken away. Idk if anyone else said this theory but I made it up.

You know how kids close their eyes thinking it will make the monsters or anything scary disappear? I'm always reminded of that when I recall the scene where the eye monster is closing in on Mono and he shuts his eyes and it goes away (in his head) As if he's escaping but not really.

I can just imagine a weird dlc or something playing as Six. Perhaps you go to the maw again or just anywhere in between. And you walk around and see "Shadow Six" eating as you watch from above. Showing that the other universe theory is possibly true as you are Shadow Six looking at our hungry murderer Six

I always saw Shadow Six as the _positive_ aspects of Six, unable to exist in a corrupted space like the Signal. That would account for the aspects we see Six abandon afterwards: Her hope, her trust, her will to do anything else but indulge. Those parts weren't especially strong in the first place (with it being as dark of a world as it is), and thus can't manifest for long. But whenever she did, she tried to help. First she guides Mono towards the Signal Tower, in hopes of freeing her other self and reuniting. When that doesn't seem to work after Six (now without those positive aspects and only motivated by indulgence) rejected Mono, Shadow Six notices her other's hunger, and so points her towards a flyer of the Maw. - which advertises it as a wonderland of endless food, which would seem like paradise to a starving, exhausted and battered girl. However, once they arrive at the Maw, Shadow Six watches in horror, as the physical Six begins succumbing to the Hunger, unable to interfere or guide herself in any meaningful way. That's what we actually see whenever Six is eating: Shadow Six looking on with sadness, watching herself become one of the monsters she has been haunted by... I also wouldn't say Shadow Six is "made" of Signal. Rather, she is manifested _through_ the power of Signal. Every time we see her, the signal effect seems to fade more and more, as if the residual effect is slowly wearing off. The shadowy nature of her doesn't necessarily has to mean "evil" though. I'd rather see it as a mental equivalent of a physical shadow: A projection that depicts certain attributes of the original, cast whenever there is a strong contrast. And in both games shadow is actually something positive. You use it to hide from monsters, and it protects you from both the gaze of the Eye, as well as the attention of the Signal. It's even contrasted in the secret ending, with Shadow Six manifesting opposite of Six from the (obviously bad) light of the Signal. I could see a future game use her in some spots as a guide. She would nudge the player into a direction where they are ultimately able to subdue post-Maw Six.

The signal tower distorts time and reveals another version of six, which brought up the question, when six is hungry, it emits an energy like the signal tower emits, which reveals her other self.(english is not my native language if its messy or something I'm sorry)

Thin Man, while stewing in his depression and resentment, becomes so powerful, he can contact and influence himself in the past; releasing himself into the past, in an attempt to stop Six from trapping him in the signal dimension. His only mistake is that, while (again) stewing in his depression and resentment for Six, Thin Man forgot just how much he (Mono) cared for his friend, and would go through hell to save her. It's too bad Six didn't see things the same way; she's really not a great person. The signal/static/shadow versions of people, I think are a manifestation of Thin Man's memories, thoughts, and feelings. Mono does, after all, become a crazy powerful manipulator of the signal dimension. I'm glad you brought up this; it makes a lot of sense that Thin Man would use this extension of himself; this memory/manifestation Six, to lead her to becoming a horrible monster, like he became himself, because of her.

I had a theory saying that shadow six is one of the monster that the wall of eyes made. She was leading these childrens to gain powers to make the loops keeps circling, she was working for the eyes. And yes, i do think that the lady is six, or previous sixes or whatever. And the reason why shadow six's appearance is a darker version of six, is probably because six seems very popular in the little nightmares world or at least childrens who wore yellow raincoat does. Because in very little nightmares, the girl in the yellow raincoat defeated the pretender and maybe even perhaps escaped from the maw before, and there's drawings of six in the maw like saying she was some sort of a legend to the childrens, because six or people like her is very skilled at surviving. And i think this is why shadow six's appearance is six, because she will make the real six believe to her and trust her and will follow her directions. Same as mono, mono sees six as a friend, and when shadow six first appeared, she was in front of mono, which makes mono think it was six's soul and he has to follow her to save her. But hey.. its just a theor-

I still wonder how the other glitchy children came to be and why mono consumed or absorbed them. If glitchy six came to be because of the thin man or mono that really leaves the other kids unexplained. We know how the tower feeds off people. It's different than TM's and TM was trapped within the tower and some comics explains certain demises. If he had escaped earlier somehow it would be an interacting concept that he's collecting friends and keeping them safe in the tower. If the Hunter never planned to hurt six but keep her sheltered from the world them mono/tm putting in the tower in a similar situation makes sense.

One slight nit-picky physics correction to make if I may: you confused 'multiverse' cosmology with the 'Many-Worlds' hypothesis when discussing branching universe ideas. Those two are not the same thing, the multiverse doesn't stem from the decisions that one might take, that action is assigned only to the many-world hypothesis of quantum mechanics. Aside from that, it doesn't affect your overall theory which is great as always.☺

The official description of this game states that Six is 'fading' from this world, thus she needs to go to the Signal Tower, but...if she causes the 'loop' to start again, what was the whole point of travelling to the Signal Tower in the first place? Why is Six 'fading' from the world? Your theory of the multiverse could mean that different universes are colliding/entangling (like the multiversal war explained by Miss Minutes in the Loki show) and that there are now multiple Six's in one universe (the one we play in) and in order to survive, you have to either be more powerful than all the other Six's (thus Six consuming The Lady in Little Nightmares) or you destroy The Signal Tower (attempted in Little Nightmares II?)

Well, the signal tower has been shown to draw people to it similar to the televisions and there's a rooftop moment where you can notice Six stop and stare at the tower like the citizens who step off to their deaths had. Mono, being the source of the signal, may be immune yet Six isn't free from its influence.

Here is a theory I had, perhaps shadow six is the physical manifestation of six's memories, so when the thin man took her he literally tore her memories of mono away from her, Since she doesn't remember mono it makes sense why she not only drops him but at the end of the first game leaves the maw. Perhaps six now whole remembers mono and is going back for him, this would also explain the timeloop theory cause if mono is the thin man and he broke the timeline due to being angry at six for dropping him, then this just means the events repeat over and over and over again.

Dude I love your content I think it is some of the best game theory exploring videos I have ever seen. But that multiverse theory is the first one where you make no sense to me XD. Having said that there are no bad theories so. On the other hand the Mono creating shadow six i think is a great one (I take back the first time you haven't made sense once you used scratches on a wall to link two characters which is something everyone does when stuck in some location) but other then that I love your videos keep it up :)

Ive always had this thought, that if shadow six is in all games, why does she look different in little nightmares 1, because she is made of signal in little nightmares 2, but in little nightmares 1, it seems like she is made up of a dark essence. It looks like the shadow children in the lady's residence in the DLC. Idk i've always noticed it and no one else seemed to have brought it up.

I sort of believe and yet at the same time don't believe, if that makes any sense My own personal theory is that there is a time loop, but that loop is imperfect, its broken, meaning each loop is different each time, though there might be certain parts that always overlap, like Mono becoming the Thin Man, Six eating the Geisha, and maybe even Six getting her Raincoat For example, it's possible that Very Little Nightmares, and Little Nightmares 2 might be 2 seperate Loops with this overlapping quality, it may be different situations, but in each situation, Six finds and obtains her trademark Raincoat And another example is the wallpaper in Roger's room. It's possible this Loop stretches far before any of the games begin, and it's possible that people can "remember" things from previous loops either consciously or subconsciously. I believe this means whoever made that wallpaper "remembered" the events that were to come regarding Six and the Geisha, and may have, either consciously or subconsciously, made the design of the wallpaper reflect that as an omen of the future. Along with this, some Nome drawings show Six being surrounded by darkness, along with other drawings around the Maw of Six even though the Nomes would have no reason to know who she is. But perhaps the Nomes who drew those were the same Nomes who followed Six as she left the Maw, perhaps "remembering" what happened and thus drawing the events yet to come when new Loops played out Perhaps this even applies to the Hospital Girl's room. In one loop she was in one room, and in another she was in a different room, but there was the overlapping decision of her doing everything she could to escape, the broken loop and physics of the world causing those Loops to interact Maybe Shadow Six is a piece of Six's soul, but it's also Six's memories and actions of previous Loops. That's why she looks towards the Maw when Six leaves the Tower, she "remembers" being at the Maw she has yet to go to, because this loop has all happened before. That's why she watches herself eat horrible things aboard the Maw and doesn't stop Six from doing this, because she remembers and knows its supposed to happen (I also believe Six's unique soul absorbing magic is her own unique power, and she may use it after eating the Geisha to absorb that part of her soul and memories into herself after she's done eating, which is why Shadow Six isn't there, but perhaps because of how long that part of her was away, that Hunger remains within her despite her being whole again) Perhaps Glitching Remains are a piece of a person's soul combined with their memories and actions of previous Loops, which is why they're separated from their bodies when brought to the Tower, because the Tower created the Loop and thus caused the children's memories and souls to split apart I suppose you could consider this a combination of the muktiverse theory and the loop theory

I have a similar theory and think specifically the signal tower exist outside the construct of time. Because of this, the signal is affecting people in the area around it in multiple different timelines at once, which is warping the reality around it and thus creating these twisted versions of the citizens. Since Six entered this realm yet wasn't assimilated, it's possible that her corruption has lead to her being aware of these other timelines and learned of the power she can gain on the Maw. We see Mono use these glitching signal of Six to find her, so many Shadow Six similarly are breadcrumbs left behind to lead her to the goal whether her own or secretly the agenda of the signal tower itself. Oh, speaking of that, I ponder if the signal was always Mono's gift and the monster we see capture him does so to increase its own influence. Thus, Thin Man is hunting these children searching for other powers to assimilate and thus the entity is leading Six to the Maw and its power via Shadow Six.

There are still many missing puzzles that needs to be solved but I do agree with you that, "Shadow Six can be from different dimension or universe". Just sharing my thought because if we remember correctly, you also mentioned in other video that Six has been to the Woods where she gets captured by the Hunter and the school as well as Pale City before so what if something happened to her in the Pale city, that also explains why we find her raincoat in the Pale city as well. I might be wrong here but I do wanna know how did her raincoat endup in the Pale city and why was she not wearing it when Mono enters her room. Something happening to her in the Pale city is the big question because I remember someone mentioning that Mono was suppose to reach the Maw under the guidance of Six which means that the Maw was their destination until Six drops Mono in the ending of LN2. Remember the Pretender from VLN can make you vanish but leaves behind their clothes and same for the lady apart from that she can turn them into gnomes but they also left behind the clothes. So what if the similar thing happened to six and it endup becoming her shadow even tho we can only see it when thin man captures her. Again I might be completely wrong her but still sharing is better than circling this thought in my mind. And your theories makes a lot of sense so keep it up.

My personal theory on shadow six is that they are actually the glitching remains / soul of the girl in the yellow rain coat pulled from six by the thin man I also think that this rain coat curses people who wear it with hunger as we never see six get hungry in ln2 before she puts the coat on. Maybe this is done by accident maybe she blames six for her death.

And yeah I think it makes a lot of sense early on in little nightmares2 six strikes me as a scared little girl for the most part her cracking the hands and acting feral in both the hospital and the school respectively is what I chalk up to a six being curious and defending herself however the major thing to note is how long between the meeting of six and mono to the end of the game is that’s a long time for six not to get hungry and for the majority of it she wasn’t in her rain coat where as in the maw she is hungry every five minutes though maybe the maw has a curse on it too that makes people far hungrier when on board

That multiverse theory actually makes sense, Think about it, all the other “Glitch Remains” are all those kids from other dimensions or from the comics that got caught either by the Thin Man or something else witch is why they don’t respond and only fade away when you see them, like the “Fat Boy” in the comics the Teacher caught him and in the game his “Glitch Remain” was in the corner shivering and glitching possibly showing Mono the time he was caught, but “Dark Six” doesn’t act like the other “Glitches” possibly meaning in her universe she was never caught just like our Six. I believe Six and “Dark Six” play a way bigger role in this franchise than we imagined.

A good part of this seem to keep amping Mono's power. Think of the comic it his home before the game's events. It looked like an army teen Mono's trashing the place. If he a Multiverse class being he could do so .Yet that mean the Thin-man not the darkest mono can get.

I love the idea that Shadow Six is a creation of Mono.. (Almost like an imaginary friend, which I have many of.. LoL). Mono makes Shadow Six (Glitch) follow Six to the Maw, because Mono (within the Tower) can watch Six through Shadow Six. Even though he was hurt and bitter, he still clung to her to keep some form of comfort while he was alone.. Mono eventually merges Shadow Six into Six so that he can always feel connected to the girl who was once his friend..

Makes me think, maybe if the entire pale city is on a loop, then perhaps the only way six could have escaped from the loop was by letting mono go. The Time loop is pretty broken tho, is really hard to know for certain what happens every time and what not. A theory could be that every cycle was slightly different than the last one, with six and mono repeating it, and the shadows are what is left after every cycle, meaning that if the shadows preserve that info at some point they could change the events enough to get six out of the loop.

Hey Tericho big fan of ur videos. I just wanted to say I’m replaying little nightmares 2 and picked up on something that I think could be big. After u enter the hospital and get to the first tv and u exit the tv six looks at mono with a bit of terror in her face and takes a few steps away from him. Do u think she could have possibly seen what might’ve happened to mono as we never see what she sees when she enters the tv. Idk if this is right just a little thing I picked up on

Okay, so I guess I just wanted to add something to the theory of the shadow six being part of a signal. We see that the viewers watch the TVs, but maybe the signal tower needed to use a different way to get to the kids. Maybe the Shadow Six is THE signal, leading the kids to do its bidding. Whether that is to take out people such as the Lady and Thin Man, or to ensure that Mono ends up back in the signal tower, or some other motive. I think this also ties in with the theory that the Thin Man is creating the signal because then it would make sense that the form the signal takes on is six.

I still think Shadow Six is a manifestation of who Mono understands Six to be. Shadow Six isn't necessarily being controlled by him, she probably isn't even aware of him, but if Mono is the signal and content of that signal and the audience receiving that signal and Shadow Six is manifested with signal then it's possible Shadow Six was born from a feedback loop and appears when Mono is thinking about Six. Kind of like a fanfiction stamped on top of reality as the feedback causes it to bend back and eat itself. So Shadow Six appears to Mono, the creator, and follows Six, the muse, as reality places the shadow of the person near where the person is supposed to be. But since her character is Mono's perception of who Six is, she's not making the same choices and not prioritizing same things as the real Six; thus she is seen when her choices would diverge from the real Six. This would also fit into the concept of Little Monsters 2 being Mono and Six experiencing the "loop" with a linear sense of time. Like if you looped a piece of string on a flat plane and then laid a straw on top. If you pinch the straw where the loop begins and trace along the path with your fingers, the straw would touch that loop at 2 points. Little Monsters 2 is showing us Mono and Six experiencing reality bend back on itself.

I have thought of something... That the Thin Man is also made of signal. He turns into black speckles after he is defeated, we see no long body being deformed or snatched away by the tower just behind him, and I wondered... Is the Thin Man a dark version of Mono? Dark and sinister, uncorporeal just as Dark Six. That, I thought, would mean that Mono, from the very beginning of the game, doesn't have a "dark" glitch side, maybe the soul part of him, and he feels a void himself that he wants to fullfil with a compannion, hence he wants to help and stay with Six after he finds her AND he searches and collects the glitching remains. He wishes to find his. But none have felt like his missing part so he goes on, escaping and surviving in the world that wants him to fail. Later in the game, when he enounters a functioning TV, black spleckles go off his body and directly into the screen and, when he is pulled off the TVs, his own body adopts a dark glitchy look before returning to normal. When the Thin Man is defeated, he is absoberd by something, most probably by the tower signal behind him. But then... one of Mono's sides woul be lost forever. He is not complete because he still looks for Six and fights for her, and feels defeated himself after she drops him. She didn't want him just as Mono didn't want his own older version. This part's main idea is that Thin Man is Mono's glitching remain. But... Does that mean that he did grow up locked in the tower, under its corruption till becoming the Thin Man, while Mono's physical form still roamed around? But how? Who splitted them? What would the Thin Man/him from the future want then? To reunite? Because Thin Man didn't snatch any glitching remian from Mono, he just held him tight; they didn't reunite, though... maybe because it was simply too late for them to be one again. Could it fit on you broken timeline theory? And to add something else. In the LN2 electronic comics Bandai released a while ago there's thise figure that corners Mono at te end of the 6th comic. At first I expeculated it was the Thin Man doing his usual stuff of kidnapping children and pursuing Mono, but I started to think about it more after I thought about this theory of mine. Because the figure isn't taking glitching remains right there, like the Thin Man did with Six. However, in the game, we see the same kids in the form of glitches. So, the Thin Man/Dark Mono could've been searching for his corporeal missing part as well. Maybe not until he was and adult... but maybe when he was growing up, like the teenager or young adult version? (That's just a thought though.)

Good theories in their own right. However, I have some criticisms. 1. While it's true that Shadow six appears to be made of signal, she later becomes completely black, the complete opposite of the signal. 2. Since the signal doesn't seem to reach the maw (there are no glitching remains) I don't see how she could stay alive. 3. It seems unlikely that Shadow six could be an echo of six since only the pale city seems to be corrupted by the signal towers time breaking influence, and shadow six also appears in places that can't be reached by a child. 4. I don't think just defeating a powerful monster grants a child power. Six seems to have a parasitic ability, hence her taking Monos power to go through the portal (we see the TV light up the moment six grabs his hand) and taking the lady's power by consuming her flesh and blood(although I don't think that's strictly necessary)

We see the particle effects are very similar on shadow Six between the games and it’s possible that we just can’t see her as well since the Maw is much darker and she’s always in shadow. 2. The signal does reach the maw, we see several TVs, one showing the same show as the pale city, one showing the thin man and at least one turned off. 3. Time appears broken in the maw too. The clocks don’t work properly in the room full of clocks. 4. We don’t actually know is this is true, this is just what a lot of people assume. The TV portal is already activated before Six touches Mono, so it’s actually more likely that anyone could have travelled through it. Don’t forget we’ve seen Six almost leave the signal tower once before by herself, before the Thin Man pulls her back in.

@@Tericho 1. I don't see any similar particle effects. Even when the brightness is right up, she's this dark almost silky black. 2. Although TV works in the maw, it's not the same show, and unlike the buildings in the pale city, the maw hasn't been warped at all, save for the staff. 3. While the clocks don't work properly, neither does a fair amount of other junk. If time obeyed those clocks, it'd be frozen 4. I don't see why the TV would light up when six grabbed monos hand if it was already open (which it didn't seem to be, since it was only as bright as an unopened TV in the city) Oh and thanks for replying to my ramblings.

I have a theory about the Lady's daughter. I think it is the Girl in the Yellow Raincoat from VLN. The reason I think this is because you see photos of the Lady and a girl in a yellow raincoat. It is not Six because she has never been to the Maw before and just arrived. The Ferryman brought her there and she was placed in a suitcase and that is when her journey began, that is the first time she was there. So there is no way there could be pictures of her there already. So it has to be the Raincoat Girl. Also, in the photos of the Girl in the Yellow Raincoat, she has long hair. And we all know that Six doesn't have long hair. In VLN we see that our character has long hair, it is just in a ponytail. So I think that is who the Lady is standing next to in the photo, I think that is the Lady's daughter. And the reason I think she is her daughter is because she seems to be the only child the Lady hasn't killed or did something terrible to.

My theory is that Shadow Six wanted Mono to follow her and help her get back to the real Six,and get her body back,they both tried to fight monster Six and get her back to her normal tiny self,(Mono just tried to help the real Six through the whole adventure,(they had a bond)helps her get out of the hunters place,help get her back from Thin Man and the tv,etc. Mono never tried to hurt Six,he even fought Thin Man and absorbed him/made him a part of him,just to get betrayed by Six and left alone)what if Shadow Six is angry at the real Six for betraying Mono and leaving him alone,and she is tormenting Six/getting revenge on the real Six by giving her hunger pains and making her eat the rat,lady,nome,etc,i think after Mono gets betrayed by Six,he grew up,and became the Thin Man,and was angry about the betrayal,and hunted and took Six to get revenge on her for betraying him
