I had the opportunity to try this gun at a local range's customer appreciation day. The Shadow Systems rep was there. He let me break it in with a box of 50 rounds of Blazer brass. No malfunctions whatsoever, very accurate. The trigger on this is much better than my Glock 43X (which is the worst Glock trigger I ever had). I bought the regular CR 920 in April. I like this better than the smaller model. I did ask the SS rep - it appears the 15 round magazine will work in the old CR 920; I asked if there would be a sleeve to fill the gap, he said probably, but had no ETA.

I love everything about this gun better than the Glock 43X, but I don’t think we can say it’s as reliable. Maybe after a lot of breaking in, but overall I think Glock is hard to beat for reliability.

It does come with back straps to change the angle right?

No

Did you have any issues with dropping the mag? Did your trigger finger get irritated after shooting 100+ rounds? These are both issues i ran into with my CR920.

I have the CR920X and, yes, my trigger finger started to hurt after 100 rounds. It's because the trigger shoe does not set flush with the trigger blades when you pull it. Kind of annoying.

Any idea if Glock 43x Magwells fit on this? The bottoms look similar

No, I don't believe they will.

If these are so great, why did mine malfunction 12 times in the first 200 rounds and 9 in the second 200?Quality ammo and I’m no average new owner that doesn’t know how to operate the firearm.

Break in period it should be no issues after 200-500 round mark according to owners. Also one at range I rent is way better after it broke in.

It’s a pretty PSA MICRO DAGGER for 2.5X the price

Couldn’t be further from the truth. 1) PSA QC is some of the worst in the firearms industry. Sure they can innovate sometimes (mostly by copying other designs and slightly changing it with cheaper parts), but innovation doesn’t matter if your quality control is off. So sure, take the risk on a $400 knock off with terrible quality, never shoot it but hop on the internet saying it’s “just as good” like all the other PSA riders. 2) the texture on the daggers is like sticking your hand in Vaseline and trying to pick up a fish. SS gives you basically a custom stipple job on every one of their guns, even their foundation series, which is probably a $150-$200 upgrade not to mention the hassle of shipping your frame to an FFL and back. 3) the triggers in the daggers are like if you could somehow take the M&P 1.0 triggers and make them worse. SS makes their triggers a Glock trigger that doesn’t suck out of the box. 4) daggers have 3 white dot irons… is this 1960? Is tritium not invented yet? SS puts Night Fision sights on all their guns, another $100-$150 upgrade. 5) SS optics mounting doesn’t require plates. Enough said. 6) SS will replace your gun if you use it in a self defense situation and it’s legally justified, PSA would probably sue you for actually using their products. 7) PSA’s look like Taurus’. I don’t think i need to elaborate. 8) SS offers their foundation series that are in the $6-700 ballpark and are objectively one of the best out of the box guns on the market right now for the money. You should learn the difference between something being a good price (cheap) and a good value (worth the money you’re paying), it would do you well. Now go back to Reddit and brag about the dagger that you’ve never shot because it’s still in your shopping cart on PSA’s website.

@@OPPEN45ER Okay fine the dagger isn’t the best example. But it makes for a simpler comment. But Daggers don’t require plates on 407k platform. SCT frames. Comes with OEM GLOCK PARTS, better stippling than the SS. SCT frame with a dagger upper, change the sights and trigger $400-$450 There are too many great ≈$100 frames out there with great stippling and OEM Glock parts, to justify $800 SS in 2024

@@jlh8790 already addressed this in my first comment. If you don’t like the price of the elites, get a Foundation Series. ~$600 for one of the best out of the box guns on the market without having to swap frames a triggers and slides and have a parts Frankenstein gun. You’re entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is wrong.
