Ugh... another example of having a good concept, but bad execution. If they had not tried to fuse an action shooter into Sonic styled gameplay, this could have been a great game by being only ONE of the two. Just imagine a closer camera with a better combat system. It could have been a really good action platformer with guns being less tacky. It could have felt innovative and action packed. Instead we got spam the A button when you hear "HOLD STILL, YOU DEVIL!"

All quotes from what is probably one of my favorite bosses from SA1 probably due to him not only being the only challenging boss of the game outside of Perfect Chaos and not only due to having multiple attack stages that get harder as he takes damage but also because of the music and the lines he says that makes the battle more epic then it already is. Sonic has had enough. Robotnik has released an evil god, nearly destroyed Station Square, had his girl captured, tricked Knuckles, shot him down separating him and Tails to name a few but now it's Sonic's turn. Nothing on his mind but to teach the bad egg a lesson. He tracks him to his base and infiltrates it and thus the final clash between two long standing enemies in this game begins. Sonic in one corner. Robotnik in his Egg Viper weapon in the other. I really like Sonic Adventure 1. I might even go so far as to saying it's slightly better then Sonic Adventure 2.
