I like that they aren’t revealing too much. Nowadays trailers for both movies and videos games reveal too much leaving little to no surprises when we get them cause we know around 75%-85% of the game/movies content.

There is a right and a wrong way. Zelda breath of the wild was great! Many people thought the trailers and stuff gave away too much but when the game came out turns out we barley knew anything. (I can keep naming games this year that did a good job on this but moving on) Marvel movies like "captain america winter soldier" showed us alot and people thought marvel gave away 80% of the movie but when the movie came out there was so much more then the trailers let on that the movie still feels fresh and new. Sonic forces marketing is pretty poor (along with mania) I get what they are trying to do. "Show very little as teasing" however the way they are marketing feels is that Sega pretty much only aiming at fans. Not marketing as a "game." They are showing all this stuff at the last minute which is pretty annoying, and because all the trailers are just showing us the same 3 stages over and over pretty much shows that the game might not really have anything. Makes people who are not Sonic fans wonder "Why would I pay $40 something for this? All the images and trailers show the same thing so ehhhhh." Sonic forces also shows the same stages from past games and that is a turn off from most people because we already seen all these things again for god knows how many times. If you feel like the market works for you that is great. I am just saying how I feel along with many other people I know. I get the idea of keep as little info as possible to feel fresh and new. But you can STILL have that feeling on showing just enough so we get the idea that at least there is something in the game that is more then 3 stages. Then when the game comes out "Whao this stage is here this part of the story took a twist I didn't see coming" etc.
