The world has not always been so unloving…
At its dawn, they were generous.
Creating life, landscape, and limitless potential for mankind.
They created, and they helped us evolve, and then they slept.
For four millennia, the gods were silent.
But Silence is not always sleep, and some gods are not so selfless.
So, when Fallen Kings invited any who still cared to interfere, to appear before mankind.
Darkness did, Khaos by its side, returning to rule and to ruin.
But that is when you first appeared.
Appeared to live and fight another day in the name of those gods that did still sleep.
And so you lived, and built, and fought for Light, and Order, and Life.
You kept a generation alive in the midst of death before the cascading collapse of our world, and then you too fell beneath the waves.
So all was lost, it seemed.
Until a few years ago, when a beacon of hope shone from this land. A refuge, a way to survive the calamities, to float above the waves of darkness that had drowned our world.
And a king stood against darkness, and his army fell before an invasion force that nearly conquered this land as well, but, in his final act, he removed the god from this world and set us free once more. To rebuild, to relearn, to renew.
And years later, here you are - the champions of old. But why have you returned, and what powers have brought you here?
What do you desire? Will you Rage against the darkness? Help us conquer the undead and ungodly that remain? Our world is vast and fallen, but perhaps it need not stay that way. Stand with us. Fight with us. Fall with us.
