What is up with those adds? 2 shotting my pets is just not cool. Big waste of time lol, but hey.....I will show you my failures too!

You should run with potions and utilize spiritspeak self heal. the shield you have is just sdi, it's not helping your survival. I see you as an elf, but having 20 spellweaving *or being a human* and having a 6th circle arcane focus - you can cast a really powerful heal over time for your pet or yourself, and mitigate 100+ physical damage (gift of renewal and attunement). Very powerful survival with just 20 skillpoints. If you went with 40, you can have the self rez for a good 8 minutes. Just something to ponder.

Sorry you were unable to complete this one. So your build as a Hemomancer is very much like a Sampire, check out this guide on the forums. As you just began your journey of this class, you will have a learning curve on some encounters and it will not react like a Tamer at all. You can do that particular encounter easier with a tamer, because you are suppose to be doing massive damage to the boss with your pets. The adds are from a mechanic you triggers in that encounter. Your comment at the end about a Sampire deleting this encounter is correct, and you can too. Just don't expect to on your 3rd or fourth day with this class. The Hemomancer like all melee classes does take more time to get geared out. You will however be able to use those dragons/undead commands to get that gear faster in other encounters til you are ready for this one. Remember diversity in builds is important to making it so not everything is just a cookie cutter and no one class or build feels different has pros and cons or harder than others. It is meant to keep it special your class picks. That is the beauty of it all! A Necroweaver might even do a little better here due to Gift of Renewal and Gift of Life as well as offensive spells. They all have their give and take! Don't get too frustrated, sometimes ya gotta fall down to get back up better! And end of the day, we do need to balance for group content which these end game dungeons are made for, over individuals. Soloing shadowguard is a badge of honor, not a requirement Hope to see you conquer it as you build your Hemomancer more!

On lich kill him with just pets. Otherwise he will summon adds and those skele Dragons do 3 x times more damage to pets. So that's probably what happen. And those new undead mobs are based on skele Dragons so yeah...

Crash Rush is correct there are some tactics in this fight, can't just overpower it at the end. The mechanics of it will stop you. That is likely why you saw sampires and tamers do it differently. Can't wait to see the next attempt!

Skipped to the end to see the wipeout, will rewatch in its entirety tomorrow. As to the two shotting of your skele dragons by adds....yeah that's not right, some sort of balance change needed there. However, in my seriously non expert opinion that isn't the biggest issue here, though I applaud the devs for bringing in more diverse builds there is an issue with multi pet builds, that issue is this....one max trained pet will always hit harder and takes hits harder than two low level pets ever can, also any healing has to be spread between to pets not one, meaning when heavy damage comes in and both pets are fubar you simply cannot heal them both, with a level 5 pet and lot more HP you have more time to react, having two level 2 pets it's just not possible. I'm not saying they should be almost invincible, but some sort of bonus for having multiple pets out even if they are different types should help offset the lack of HP and the need to spread the healing out between them is sorely needed, to the point that if someone like yourself that is very good at the game cannot make it work, how can the average numpty make it work? I have tried out the Summoner build and like it a lot except for one seriously annoying and frustrating thing, the build seems to be built around the Rising Colossus, it being very tanky and dishes out a lot of damage too, but the duration is pitiful, even with 120 in SW and Myst and 115 in Magery I spend more time resummoning the colossus than anything else. The summon creature spell is brilliant, absolutely love it and the duration is just right. Using Magery greater elementals is great also, they last a fair amount of time, just about right and on trash mobs they whoop ass, but damage falls off on higher end enemies. If I was let lose with balancing I would change just one thing, increase the duration of Rising Colossus significantly, I mean something like 15-20 minutes and balance it's toughness and damage accordingly, make it the central pillar of the build and have the supporting creatures or elementals as low duration supports rather than the supports lasting much longer than the main pet. All in all, this patch is very very good, however I feel the semi competent noob isn't going to have so much fun as a veteran that knows what they are doing(I am most definitely in the group of semi competent noobs) without a bit of a rethink from the devs. The guys n girls that put a lot of time and effort into the running and balancing of the UO:Alive world deserve high praise, very high praise, maybe they will listen to my feedback...you never know, my main man Goldfish is connected you know!!!

per this video: The adds are from a mechanic you triggers in that encounter if you do something wrong. This isn't about balance. It is about a mistake made. It's understandable, this is their first try with the new build! But yeah, look at Crash Rush's comment above for more details. Per RC: We increased the time a RC can be out now in this latest patch and will likely not go higher for the following reason: We added it to Spell Trigger meaning you can have a RC ready to summon at a moments notice in your pocket! There has to be a push and pull with any build. The RC is indeed your tank, but if your tank stays up 24 7 you feel no threat nor danger as you rain down hellfire on it with all the amazing spells you have access to. You are not meant to just sit back and summon other pets and wait. This is why the summon creature and supporting pets have a longer time out (easier to dispel and do higher DPS) which means, you are considered a summon as well. When those creatures are hitting on the mobs, if you aren't casting or giving your RC Gift of Renewal(a MUST HAVE SPELL) you will find your tank going down often and your creatures being dispelled fast and you in trouble. Remember you have to learn the rotations for these classes that best fit you. We are working on writing a guide to help with Summoners understanding the truth potential they hold in their nearly limitless magical arsenal. They are not just summoners of creatures but of the arcane. They are the ultimate hybrid mage, but they embrace the chaotic nature of their build through the possibility of a dispell!

@@UOAlive I see what you are trying to make here, and I like the concept a lot. I however think the duration of support pets compared to your tank pet is backwards, my reasoning is that the tank should be the corner stone, in my few champ spawn runs I spent around 80% of my time keeping the colossus either alive or resumoning leaving support pets a luxury, as for me casually nuking with my own spells...lol if only. I'm not asking for the colossus to be any more or less tanky, but a very short duration is just plain annoying. Getting your colossus dispelled is part of the fun, making epic "oh crap" moments, but having to resummon every few minutes leads to "arghh ffs" moments, and a lot of them too. Testing these new really good builds with people that are really really good is a great way to get them off the ground, but please remember that most people that will be playing them are not as good, I count myself as at best a semi competent noob, and I am already getting frustrated with the colossus duration to the point of not even bothering with it at all, it is just too annoying to keep resummoning. If I am correct, every pet build has permanent pets except the SW/Myst Mage summoner, maybe a little bit of love in the colossus duration area would bring the build a little more in line with the other pet builds. Please note that I applaud and appreciate the time, effort and energy that has gone into the new things you guys are bringing to the game, bringing more diversity and choice is awesome and I sincerely hope you have the energy and inspiration to continue doing the fantastic job you do. Not trying to trash your work, hopefully you may see this as helpful feedback.

@@jessicadaniels8567 Conversation is great and we welcome it. 1: The summoner is the king/queen of spells... they shouldn't last any longer(they are not a pet build). I also died a few times when my summons died or timedout... but that is the thrill and challenge. You'll get the right temporary pet for the encounter and you can deal A LOT of damage as summoner (with slayer and enough SDI death ray ticks 300-400+ at greater dragons esp when you air elemental casts conductive blast PLUS 300+ damage from nether cyclone for all pets in that area. You'll get similar result with nether blast). You also dominate champs with the SW AoE spells. For me it's a top tier build with a lot of available spells now, but you have to take care of the summons. 2: beginner vs. experienced player: The summoner is an easy to start build. You don't need pets. You don't need expensive equipment at the beginning, just mediocre LRC stuff... it has a high damage ceiling you can reach over time and that's what I love: you can have an easy start and still enhance your build weeks or months later (if you need that). So yes your other pets last longer so you don't have to keep throwing them like spells since they basically are "spells" in the form of summons. 3 minutes for the rising colossus is a great time span with the ability to instantly summon a new one with Spell Trigger. Keep that Renew on your Colossus and it will last the entire duration too. Also one thing being missed is this is a multiplayer game so we do need to keep in consideration group content. P.S. All tests are done with a skilled person, a medium skilled person, and a complete newb :P Anyway, we love suggestions, so feel free, if you feel like, to make one on our forums laying out your thoughts. Hope this helps you understand ours.

@@UOAlive Thank you for your prompt reply, the summoner WAS going to be my goto character, but with the design philosophy of the colossus being a 3 minute max(3 pumps and a squirt failure) summon is a deal breaker for me, far too much frustration builds up with the near constant resummoning. Shame that this fantastic concept will be dropped because of the colossus duration being so pitifully short, I fail to understand how it's possible max duration being somewhere around 10-15 minutes makes it any more powerful, it has gained no tankiness, no damage buff nor any more resistance to dispel.....it is still just as easy get killed as with a 3 minute duration as it is with 15 minutes but with a whole lot less frustration and annoyance. Guess I'll be going back to my tamer then. Thanks again for the hard work, sorry my disappointment has brought me to the point of abandoning the summoner class so early.
