This video made me buy Baldur's Gate 3, and I didn't have any prior knowledge of the game, DND, or Larian studios before this. Enough to say this video led me to now have 800 hours in the game within 4 months of buying it, and now I can't romance anyone other than Shadowheart. However, I have romanced Karlach and Astarian AS Shadowheart; perfect compromise for me; and now I'm playing with two friends who are playing for the first time, and I'm rizzing up Gale as Shadowheart. while playing as durge at some point after you begin romancing a companion you will be greeted by your murder butler and told that the urge will try kill your lover(to your joy or repulsion). i forget the specifics but in the end you are tied up on the ground by said lover and their variations of this scene played out. afterward there is if i remember durge specific dialogue with them and you go about your incredibly fucked story of wanton homicide or redemption. though if the replies under joemaldito's are correct resist killing isobel as well for it to trigger

The scene itself is from a playthrough as Dark Urge, haven't done it myself, but as far as I know it is a fully customizable character, same as "Tav", that has a curse that makes him/her want to kill everyone out of the blue, especially friends and loved ones. This particular scene, again as far as I know, happens with whoever you picked to romance. Much like everything else in the game, you can choose to straight up kill your lover (who is asleep) or wake them up and tell them about your curse. Sorry for being vague, just telling you what I know about it.

yes! dark urge will have a few cutscenes of their bloodlust during long rests and if you romance a companion this scene will appear, basically they’re trying to kill their romanced companion but if you choose to resist your love interest will wake up and tie you up because you’re acting very strange around them lmao
