in the first season, werewolves transform easily and smoothly with their clothes in tact. in season 2 , werewolves transform with their bones cracking and shifting, with their clothes ripping so their nude.

To be honest! Alec don't have to protect her Clary if he don't want too. He is only protecting her because he is in love with Jace.

I completely agree. I mean, Alec protected her even if he doesn't like her because he's in love with Jace, but Jace doesn't see the hints or clues that Alec gives him since he's too worried about Clary. Alec is a good guy and did everything by the book, so Jace shouldn't do this to him or blame him that Clary was kidnapped or snuck out of the Institute.

(Book spoilers if you haven't read it) I guess but it still undermines who Alec is. In I think the third episode he kills vampires like it's nothing and saws it was "fun". Alec has a respect for life and the facts downworlders are people with souls. It's what's so amazing about Alec. He's raised in a conservative society that is trained to hate a particular set of people. His parents were part of a group that mass murdered that group of people. Alec falls in love with a downworlder. Alec is so innocent but he goes against a lot of the clave's idea which is what makes Alec so human and vulnerable and they seemed to have misplaced Alec's true personality. I knew going into this show the story would be very different and I don't care about that, I just wish they were a bit more careful about who the characters actually are.

I don't think he ever hated downworlders. In fact he went to help Luke in the ep after this. When he says they should stay out of downworlder business, he doesn't mean it in a bad way but he knows that they're going against clave orders and it'll reflect badly on the family and his head will be on the chopping block because he's the oldest and meant to be in charge. If you actually look at Alec's behaviour towards downworlders in scenes with them then you can see that he seems a lot more respectful towards them than Jace for example so I don't think he ever had anything against downworlders but was just trying to do what was expected of him until he couldn't anymore. By that I mean he was even willing to marry Lydia to restore his family name in front of the clave but then he decided to just let go and kiss Magnus in front of everyone and show the clave and everyone that he doesn't care what they think about him and will be with a downworlder if it makes him happy. It's an interesting journey because he's been raised in a society which is meant to hate downworlders and he was just trying to do what was expected of him until he fell in love with a downworlder and couldn't pretend anymore.

This is so insulting to those of who love the books. It's far from the books, for one, but for even the werewolfs to attack Shadowhunters completely goes against the accords, thus breaking them can cause for a negotiation between the Shadowhunters and werefolfs(for all who have read the whole series's we all read what happened to the Faeries when they broke the accords) or a war between Shadowhunters and and werewolfs.

One thing I don't understand is why the mom didn't take clare away when she woke. Or luke once he got better and clare realized he was lying to the bad guys. The mom did tell clare "trust only luke". She kept her from the shadow hunter for a reason after all. The mom rebel them for a reason. Nothing changed with the clave. The so called "trial" is example why. The way the "judge" all ready made up her mind and even with no charges the "judge" still sentence. The so called "angel" blood the clave was no better than valentine. Or maybe I'm just thinking too much on the subject

Pretty cool. I think they shouldn't have made them look like regular wolves. A more humanoid appearance with them standing on two legs is the norm and would have been best. Even if they went with the four-legged design, they could have still make them look a little less like normal wolves. They also should have done a better job of not making all of them look similar.
