I am going to try and Audition in January for Nala for my school play... I'm terrified because i've never had an audition, and i was basically just drafted into the play because they needed more ensemble... royaltea the roles have been reversed for ages. There are so many white roles in theatre because of previous prejudice against black people that black people have little chances. Obviously more roles are being created for black people now but it’s no were near the number of roles white people have. Take the little mermaid, so many people got angry because of the casting decision for the live action movie even when there are only a few Disney princesses of colour so why would a white person take one of the few roles available for black people.
